Nice luxury apartments with updated appliances and fixtures, including granite (or marble-not sure which) countertops. Also, the clubhouse is the best I've seen thus far. The apartment walls are very thin though. If your neighbor above you is walking/running about or playing music, you will definitely hear them. It's not as bad if your television is on. Parking is a nightmare as with most places in Alexandria.
I would never recommend this apartment. We had trouble from day one when they gave us the wrong key and made us go through emergency maintanence to get the correct one. A long process (though the maintanence department is quick and competent. But then again they have lots of practice.) From there, we found multiple issues including moldy shower heads, wobbly toilets, unpianted parts on the wall, the list goes on and on. Unfortunately the issues have only grown worse with the new management that started shortly after we moved in (Winter 2013). They have consistently let in loud and inconsiderate tenants. Though they receive many complaints, they do nothing to help. For what you are paying here, it is absolutely unacceptable to feel like you are living in dangerous, low-income housing with shouting in the halls and pot smoke seeping out of doors. Tires being stolen off cars in the parking lot and break-ins (about which they do absolutely NOTHING to inform residents) are just icing on the cake. Needless to say, we are moving the second our lease is up. As is just about every tenant we know.
