for my first apartment my experience with scheppke is great. moved from madison and the office was nice and worked with me since i wasnt able to drive here before i went to pick up my keys. maintenance is super fast and gets to me the same day or early next day (a few friends stay with scheppke just because maintenance is so quick). kinda wish there was a check drop box at all the apartments or online payments but o well.
They need to learn how to drive!! Was behind the white suv today and they kept going into the left turn lane and then going back in front of us... blinkers are not optional. I have a baby in my car, learn to drive or dont bless others with your inability to drive.
My wife and I moved into one of their rentals April 1st and have no complaints at all. They took care of some torn screens, sluggish drains, and it was clean and repainted when we moved in. The office staff are all pleasant as well as the maintenance personnel. One weekend I called about a small leak on the toilet and Mr. Scheppke called me back himself...impressive. I told him I could put a small bucket under it until Monday and they got it taken care of right away. We love our new place. 11/16/14...I just want to add a thank you to Scheppke Real Estate for replacing the weather stripping around the garage door and fixing the drain problem with our dishwasher. In spite of all the other negative reviews, I have no complaints whatsoever. Not everything gets done the same day I call or email, but the response is always timely.
I inquired about a listing only to be rudely told that it wasn't available and all they had was 2x the rent advertised. Not worth working with them. I recommend MyNextHome or Trulia.
Absolutely terrible. For my first winter in the apartment, the furnace did not work. It could not run for more than an hour a day, tops. Needless to say, the winters in Wisconsin are very cold and unpleasant, and our heater could not heat the house to above about 40-50 degrees. Also, the furnace was still consuming fuel, so we were paying outrageous energy bills to not have heat. After repeatedly telling the landlord, a completely inept "repairman" was sent out. He told us that the reason the furnace wasn't working was because we had a rug too near the intake. We moved the rug and this did absolutely nothing. They sent repair guys seven times, over the course of two months before they told us that they couldn't fix it and that we needed a new furnace. The new furnace did not come until late July. Long story short, I had no heat for an entire winter. I would have sued, but couldn't afford a lawyer. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE
