The upside: Beautiful building, nice apartments The downside: Neighborhood is a little rough around the edges. You would not necessarily want to walk your dog around the block at 1am. Frequent car break ins and parking lot vandalism. The management is TERRIBLE. My experiences: 1) THEY ARE OBNOXIOUS After a rash of car break-ins in the visitor lot, the management posted a memo reminding residents "Crime is a problem throughout Providence," not just in our parking lot. Not the effort you d hope for in making the lot safer. 2) THEY NICKLE AND DIME YOU I lived in my apartment for 3 years at market rate ($40k total rent) and they charged me a $75 moveout cleaning fee. I inquired why since the apartment was clean. They told me they routinely take $100-200 from the deposit, so I was getting a deal. I lived in 10 rental buildings in my life and never had this done. 3) THEY ARE THOUGHTLESS There was an overdue gas bill for $10 because of a quirk in transferring the service over. They sent me a letter threatening eviction! (My rent was $1200 a month) In fairness, they do do a great job keeping the property clean. Really in this neighborhood (and in Olneyville) you could do better for less, with management who is much more concerned with making you happy as a tenant. I would recommend avoiding the property.
