I am wrapping up a year here and I am not renewing my lease. Not because this place is expensive (it is), but because in the year I have been here they have had construction pretty much nonstop in my building. Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, it's like living in a lumber mill. There is wood dust in the air and the noise is deafening. This could have been a great place to call home, but the constant construction noise ruined it for me.
I think they must have done some improvements and gotten new staff members. We've been here for almost 2 months and absolutely love it. Lucinda is awesome, the staff is reachable at anytime, the maintenance is speedy, and the whole property is clean. The visitor parking is a little limited but it's not a huge deal. Overall it's quiet and pleasant.
This was a terrible place to live. There isn't enough parking, for one thing. That's a great mentality - screw the residents, we can cram another couple buildings in here at the expense of parking space. The management had the audacity to tell us to park at the mall parking lot. If you are familiar with the area, you know how unreasonable that request is. The carpet was crusty and old when we moved in, but they still charged us to replace it after we moved out. They promised to fix things before we moved in, that conveniently never got fixed until the last month of our year lease. One of our neighbors turned out to be some sort of sexual predator who stalked and threatened one of my female roommates, but to be fair, that wasn't the management's fault, but an odd coincidence. I really hated living at this place, overall. The management was typically rude, except the day we signed our lease of course... Do yourself a favor and move somewhere else.
Well, my second night here, my neighbor who is in the military decided to have a big party. They blasted their music all night long with their door WIDE open and their guests mingling right outside our door! This continued for several nights. We complained multiple times and even had to call the police once but the noise continued. If one loud neighbor was not bad enough, another neighbor who is also a marine, constantly plays their music with the doors and windows wide open! Talk about no respect for your neighbors. Then, we got a new neighbor who moved in beneath us, again someone in the military and they play their music all the time too and blast their tv!!! This place seems to be popular for marines... Also, there are multiple tenants who have dogs. I love dogs, but NOT when they bark ALL night long like the dogs here, and the owners do NOT pick up after the dog does it's business. We have a small grass area outside and it is full of doggy duty. Disgusting. We also had mold in one of the cabinets when we first moved in from the previous tenant. Ummm... do they not check the cabinets when someone new moves in?? Also, the previous tenant must have spilled syrup in the cabinets because all of our dishes smell like maple syrup. We have to rinse every dish before we can use it!!! The carpets have a TON of stains from animals doing their business. It is completely gross. They are doing so much construction right too. We can never find a place to park. Their are a bunch of people who drive motorcycles that take one parking space for one motorcycle.... So, if you like a lot of noise, having to watch where you step so you don't get doggy poo on your shoes, and walk half a mile to get your car, then this is the perfect place for you!
