This is quite long, but I think it’s worth the read being that I’ve lived here for almost 8 years. When I first moved in, it was awesome, the management & office staff were friendly & polite. It was mostly women, and they were very much into gatherings with the community. One year, they threw a nice big ‘summer’ bash for the whole apartments, had bouncy houses & slides and game booths, and barbeque for everyone, it was great. Some years later, a new manager popped in, after that, it seemed like things with this place started going downhill, then came a new property management company, and then there goes the neighborhood. We started having break-ins at the mailboxes, not once, not twice, but several times. Finally, maybe after 5 or 6 times of break-ins at the mailboxes, they decided to install a ‘camera’ (oooooohhhhh – is it even real?). Several car break-ins as well. When the old manager was here, she would have the parking lot checked every single night for parking passes/stickers and they were so strict that if you didn’t have a pass or a temporary guest pass in your car window, the tow truck company was called. You were told as a part of your lease agreement that you couldn’t do back in parking, if you did, a notice was left on your car stating that you’re in violation of the terms blah blah blah, now, that’s all you see when you’re driving thru the parking lot. Cars backed in and no parking passes. The pros of living here: • They really are beautiful apartments, they’ve gotten to be a little ‘old’ looking now, because Port Landing was just built right next to them and they’re looking mighty gorgeous inside & out. New apartments next to old ones is always bad business for the old. • Fairly quiet – it’s a lovely community here and the noise isn’t really an issue here. • Location – pretty close to a lot, you’re in the middle of everything so it works out great. • Landscaping – I will give this to Bella Sonoma, they do keep up with the awesome landscaping. The cons of living here: • Overpriced – When I first moved in here, the prices were very decent & somewhat affordable. The rent recently had an extreme hike last year or so, most likely due to the new property management company & the new gym. I hate moving so I put up with it, if I couldn’t afford it, I’d be gone already. • THIN WALLS – I believe that this is something everyone should be warned about if you’re looking to move in here. The walls are paper paper paper thin, this is not exaggerated at all. Be careful!! I live in the bottom townhouse and I can hear the neighbor above me talking, snoring, sneezing, coughing, etc. I can even hear his phone vibrating. When a neighbor’s door slams, it shakes your whole entire house! • Notifications – The staff use to be really good about sending out notifications on being aware of suspicious activities going on either online to your resident account or even postings on your door, but they’ve been slacking on that too. • No playground for kids – Would be really nice since they have a lot of open space to fit 1 or 2 in for the kids, since the kids seem to be in the parking lots a lot, but there is a small park down the street. • Office Staff – They’re not very friendly looking and seem stuck up like they’re too good to talk to you & getting them to answer the phones is like getting your kid to eat liver & onions.
This apartment is okay to live at but when you decide you want to better yourself and move out, that's when this place becomes a nightmare. They don't care about your daily schedule or what you have going on. If you miss a deadline all they say is sorry it's automatic, which is bull. I paid my rent on time every month and didn't complain about anything the whole year and trust me there was plenty to complain about. But once I decide I want to leave they start charging me for stupid stuff. I turned in my keys 3 days late because I live far away and I couldn't make it there because it wasn't my day off. But now they are charging me for those three day that I was working. They show no sympathy or remorse about charging me extra. They just did not care. I was vacant from my home a month early and they did not tell me I could turn off my power and water so I wouldn't get charged. I even went into the office and told them I was leaving early too but did they tell me? No. When you decide to move out they do not care about you anymore. Remember this when you go to rent a place here. I used to recommend this place to my friends and family but now I will never recommend anybody to Bella Sonoma Apartments ever again. One of the worst experiences I have ever had.
I have a few things to say. First, the likes: the manager has been very professional and accomodating for me over 1 year I have lived here..he is wonderful. The mainetence crews are wonderful as well. Grounds kept very clean and impressive. Weight room always available and very spacious, amazing equipment, unlike most(workout junkie). .always super quiet around the complex. Dislikes: very thin walls, be prepared no matter what, pool/hottub always overcrowded normally by a few tenants with very large families, and the rental pricing is outrageous, over priced and unaffordable for my 1 income household, forcing me to not renew. My teenage and I have had no problems and I really didn't want to move until I purchased a home. Im still hoping to work something out..
Love absolutely everything about these apartments. The actual apartments are lovely - they are very spacious. The bathroom is huge, the living room is huge, and the kitchen and bedrooms are all pretty large as well. The finishes and buildings are also very nice and very easy to maintain. In terms of actual maintenance, the maintenance team is very responsive and very quick. I've had to submit two maintenance requests, and they were both accommodated within a day. The grounds are also very well maintained - everything is mowed, cleaned, and the trash is removed from the beautiful garbage enclosure regularly. The amenities are absurd - I feel like I live at a resort. The sauna, on-site masseuse, tanning salons, year-round jacuzzi and pool all really add to that atmosphere. The recently renovated gym and party venue (which includes a pool table, a bar, a movie theatre, and an outdoor space with grills and a beautiful gas-fired pit) are all lovely and frequently used. I even celebrated a Birthday there and my guests were thoroughly impressed. Lastly, the management and staff are very friendly and accommodating. There was recently a switch in management from Pinnacle to FPI, and it was relatively seamless. My only complaint is that I can not live here forever. You really can't find a better place for a better price, but unfortunately I have to relocate because of my career path.
I love the staff. They are fabulous. I give the staff 5 stars. It is the thin wall that cannpt protect your privacy. I could hear my downstair and my next door neighbors. They are decent neighbors. I know they are not even making the noise purposely. But the wall is so thin, we could hear eveything. For example, the couple downstair were "busy". It was so clear and so awkard. I had to tell my kids the neighbor are foreigners and practicing "R" sound.
