All in all, Camden has been my favorite place to live. I've lived in Las Vegas, Dallas, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Chicago. I lived here for three years before attending Law School in Oklahoma City, and upon graduating CFM was the obvious choice when I moved back to Dallas. Sure there are little problems here and there, but every place has problems. Keep in mind this is a large community with 1000+ units, managing that type of volume can be difficult but CFM does extremely well given the circumstances. I've spoken with friends who chose other places after law school and they cannot believe the amenities and value here. I do not plan on moving anytime soon. I will be staying here until I purchase my first home (but in reality, this place will always be my home!) Also, I think I speak for all of us when I say good riddance to TWC! Have a great day everyone.
I love Camden Farmers Market!! The Amenities are great and I can walk to work and to the Gym in minutes! The leasing Office staff is helpful and courteous and the Maintenance crew is always on top of their game answering calls and service requests in record time. I am getting ready to transfer apartments so we'll see how that goes. The only thing I can classify as a problem is the fact that the last day in my current apartment they are charging me for "occupying" 2 apartments at one time..............??? The cost is not ridiculous, but in my opinion it doesnt make sense because I'm MOVING!! outside of that I just love this place!
There is one pro: You live in Deep Ellum. That is the one star. The four missing stars are contributed to a high rate of crime, zero efforts in security, zero responsibility taken by the large corporation that is Camden, and the lack of package reception. Advice on living here. Don't leave anything if your car. Don't lock up your bicycle outside or inside the bike lockers. Peoples bikes are stolen out of the bike lockers and Camden doesn't really care. If they can't steal your bike they will take whatever isn't locked down: wheels, seat, ect. Don't deliver packages to your apartment unless you are there to receive it. The package left at your door will most likely be stolen before you arrive home. Lastly, I hope you enjoy dodging dog feces. I own a dog and walking him is like walking through a mine field of poop. About half of the people don't clean up after their pets. Also there is occasionally feces/urine in the hallways of the apartment complex itself. It is quite disgusting. I will be moving as soon as my lease is up.
I've lived here at Camden Farmers Market for 2 years now and I ABSOLUTLEY love everything about this place. It's in the heart of downtown so you have easy access to all the highways. It's located right across from the Farmer's Market so you can always walk over and get your weekly groceries! Maintenance Crew is AMAZING! Literally, you put in your request and within the hour, they are there! Parking is safe and security is visible so you know the property is being patrolled daily. The leasing staff is also AMAZING as well! Racheal helped me through the leasing process and with my renewal! Frank is always available and will literally make sure you are happy and satisfied before you walk out the door. I would recommend living here to anyone..anytime!
I loved this place when I moved in, the staff is excellent, maintenance is THE BEST in the business, but the corporate greed is starting to show in the upkeep and services no longer provided. Security has become a real issue here, I've witnessed many break-in's and walked up on people robbing cars. Management is quick to throw out the "we can't be everywhere at once" excuse, but there is a reason thieves target this community....because the security provided is inadequate for the size of the property. The biggest gripe, for everyone living here now, is they stopped accepting packages for residents, the first complex I've ever lived in that doesn't do this. You now have to go to the post office and pick up your packages, which is a NIGHTMARE! If your package hasn't been lost or misplaced (I've had one lost), you end up spending a good hour or so waiting for them to find it. Many people have decided to leave or not renew with them specifically for this reason, it even made the news a few times. It's a shame because the grounds are nice, location is great, and so are the apartments, but corporate greed is catering to its investors now and not it's residents.
