We had a one year lease with Highland Hills, apartments are nice, lots of space and beautiful on the outside. The two stars is for the staff, first day we were moving we got yelled at by a chubby brunette for having our car parked the wrong way, we tried to explain that we are unloading boxes but nope the yelling continued, she didn't bother to be polite or decent at all. Other time we didn't get water for three days due to pipe damage, no call or nothing, We had to call them to figure out why we didn't have water and they didn't even bother to apologize. The list continues. I don't know if they are understaffed or just have something stuck up their asses but if apartment staff is important to you id pass these guys.
Wow where to begin. This place looks nice and seems wonderful but don't let the nice staff lead you astray. My wife and I moved into the Apartment and everything was decent. There was damage to the apartment that we noted and the smoke detector and the laundry room fan were detached. Then when the night came the people above us were so loud it was almost impossible to think. We told the office and they told us to call it in. We did and nothing really happened. Then when we went to move out it got worse, the office was helpful, but they suckered us into a 6 month lease when I knew we should have taken a 5 month lease. The kicker though was when we went to get our security deposit back. They racked up an imaginary bill of $300 on top of the $300 we gave them. We told them to look at the paperwork and sure enough we marked down a lot of the stuff. Then they started getting real picking a spot on the dishwasher, didn't take the toilet paper rolls with us, some lent on the ground and the best for last, the front door doormat was dirty (it was outside because that is where it should be). They reduced the charges down to $187, but still that is sad if they need to resort to small things to get $187 from people on top of the $300 deposit. Ridiculous !!! save your money and find a better place because this place is crazy.
This place is nice as far as looks and it was a decent place to live, until riverstone took over. I barely lived in my apartment, I worked 80hrs a week and was basically there to sleep and do laundry. My roommate was pretty much the same. We are clean people but the charged us $750 when we moved out for "damages" literally left that place spotless. When I called to inquire about it, their corporate office lady, Jennifer I believe, screamed at me before I even told her what my call was about. Horrible people to deal with, if you move there documents EVERYTHING. Take pics of everything.
Rent is way too high for a place thats so low quality. The staff members are rude, there are too many ant infestations, and they have removed everything that was good about these apartments. If I could, I would rate this place a 0.
Current staff is the absolute worst...condescending and completely worthless when it comes to getting any thing done or answering questions. The apartment management group has run this complex into the ground and yet they keep upping the rent/leases. they give the term "slum lords" a bad name.
