Please DON'T MOVE HERE. I move around a lot for work, and I'm used to seeing bad reviews for apartments. I understand that most of the reviews are going to be written by people who have issues, and so they tend to skew negative anyway, and for that reason I tend to dismiss most of them, but for this place it's really true. Please don't ignore all of these warnings. Anyway, for the most part, I'm just here to add a voice to the crowd. The animal waste issues have been thoroughly covered, but they deserve another mention -- I would add serious pigeon issues if you live on the upper floors. I also echo the issues with dozens and dozens of unsupervised kids running around throwing things and screaming down the hallways all day. My apartment was previously rented by a smoker. They changed the carpet, paint, etc., but after a few weeks, the smell of it came back and was tough to take. To their credit, they offered me a different apartment when I first moved in, but it didn't smell yet, and so I decided not to move everything twice (my mistake). The rent payment policies are a joke -- you aren't allowed to pay your rent early in their online system, and so if you're even a day late because you forget to do it on the exact date, you get a big demand for possession or payment notice on your door the next day. Not that anything happens if you pay it right away, but it's a little embarrassing if you happen to have someone with you when you get home that day. Also their lease breaking policies if you try to leave early are borderline illegal. The leasing office area is nice, and the apartments look good when you first get there, but please, please pick somewhere else to live. There are far better options not too far away than this dump.
Do not be fooled the exterior is ectetically pleasing... we have a 900sqft 1 bed/ 1bath appt with garage at a little under 1200 not including utilities and water. Our lease was up and they also decided to raise our rent nearly 200 dollars. Thank God my husband has orders to leave and they tried to say otherwise. Not to mention there is a hole in the ceiling outside our garage that looks like the entire 2nd floor is going to cave and oh... forgot to mention when it snows they literally wait for the snow and ice just to melt away.. at 3 months pregnant I slipped and fell twice down the icy stairs and they have the audacity to say we never called and told them. Their jacuzzi has been closed since last year when we got here and their receptionists at the office are the most unhelpful, rude, and act as though manners were never introduced to them. There are many things wrong here but the list is on going. This is my first review and im not one to complain but please be weary when thinking of living here they will lure you in with fake kindness but to them your just another crappy room that will be filled.
This place smells like dog shit outside. I don't think I've ever seen a single person pick up after their dog, and the apartment management sure as hell won't be hiring a company to do it. There's garbage always on the stairs and in the breezeways. The tenants just drop garbage and don't pick it up... and again... don't count on the staff here to do it. Maintenance is a nightmare only because they have 2 guys (who work hard) do everything for the entire complex. The maintenance is incredibly short staffed. The office "staff" is just an absolute joke. I do however like the apartments themselves on the inside. And the school district is amazing.
An absolute embarrassment of apartment staff. Both Jamie and Morgan (staff) have no customer services skills. I was the one to call for the application status but got the complete run around for a week and didn't receive actual application status until the day i was supposed to move 30 min before the office closed. I asked for the managers supervisors contact information and i was told they don't know it. I asked for the corporate number and Jaime told me to google it if i wanted to. They denied my application because my credit was 5 points away from there requirements even though my husband was well above the requirements. Every time I call now to seek my $300 back since they gave me such a hard time, they never answer and when I call from a different number they answer right away. Please don't even bother in applying at this place. They have given me such a hard time and clearly they don't know what they are doing.
Find somewhere else to stay...The outside is covered in dog crap and trash to include full bags in the breezeway. The management will not do anything about it. Shoveling snow they say is a "courtesy". The front office will deflect and blame corporate policy for correcting any issues. They will not let you pay your bill online until the day it is due but will not be flexible if you are having issues with the site or bank at all and it costs 40.95$ extra to pay with a debit card. The apartment inside are designed well but are made from cheap material that easily scratch well before normal wear and tear. Also, they held my mail for weeks without calling me. Expect to pay for parking which will often be stolen if you pay for the carports or if you decide not to pay you will be walking quite a bit.
