I give this place a one star because I never had any issues with bugs or appliances. however, you will pay a lot of money for a little space. The complex is about 35 minutes outside of denver and you can take a toll road or have red lights the whole way on Smokey hill. paying rent is impossible, unless you pay with a check. their system is setup that you pay on the 1st of every month; not a day BEFORE or after. It is expensive to forget and after two days, they carry out legal action. make sure you look at the actual apartment you will be staying in. They have model units to show upfront. personally, my carpets were dirty and all my furniture was moved in. parking is ATROCIOUS. Im talking, you can't find a parking spot after 3pm. I've seen people fill their garage with stuff and park outfront. I feel like management could sort that out if they cared. last thing, dog poop everywhere.
Pro: Close to Highway and Close to outdoor mall Cons: (these are just my personal experiences, take it for what you will) Staff is unorganized, unprofessional and lazy Dog shit is everywhere, the staff is aware and does not care. parking is a joke, you do not get a parking pass so people who do not live in the apartments will park in the lot. (construction workers from across the street, mall goers on firework night,) GYM is not 24 hours, the first 7 weeks I lived here the gym was open from 9am to 6pm only. Handy man is over worked or lazy (take your pick) so if you have a leak the staff will tell you to put a bucket or bowl down for a few days. My mailbox was lost when I moved in so I did not get to check my mail for the first month. (the staff said, well we will try and find it) Rent can only be paid on the first of the month online, not early or by check (if they don't miss place your check) Yes my check has been lost twice now and yes the staff blamed me for it. If you have a question good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone, but if you go down to the office you will have to wait in line as there is only one girl there to answer questions as the office manager (Morgan ) sits in her office in the back texting and checking her cell phone. Snow removal only happens when the snow stops between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, your stairs will be snow covered and icy. Be safe as I have watched others fall on the stairs. Trash is only emptied from the dumpster once a week and it will be over flowing the start and the end of the month as people move in and out. Its gross These are only things I have experincend first hand so hopefully I am the only they happen too. Good Luck
Is there any way to give a place less than one star? DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OFFICE! The facilities here LOOK very nice....but once you move in, the truth comes out. When anything breaks, expect MONTHS for it to be fixed...if it ever gets fixed. Maintenance is terrible. All of the reviews on here are SPOT ON. I'm not one to ever complain, but after all the trouble this place had put me and my husband through, I can't not say anything. Being pregnant, they have no sympathy, and just do whatever they HAVE to do in order to barely be legal. We're actually in the process of breaking our lease, because we just can't handle it anymore.
Do not be fooled the exterior is ectetically pleasing... we have a 900sqft 1 bed/ 1bath appt with garage at a little under 1200 not including utilities and water. Our lease was up and they also decided to raise our rent nearly 200 dollars. Thank God my husband has orders to leave and they tried to say otherwise. Not to mention there is a hole in the ceiling outside our garage that looks like the entire 2nd floor is going to cave and oh... forgot to mention when it snows they literally wait for the snow and ice just to melt away.. at 3 months pregnant I slipped and fell twice down the icy stairs and they have the audacity to say we never called and told them. Their jacuzzi has been closed since last year when we got here and their receptionists at the office are the most unhelpful, rude, and act as though manners were never introduced to them. There are many things wrong here but the list is on going. This is my first review and im not one to complain but please be weary when thinking of living here they will lure you in with fake kindness but to them your just another crappy room that will be filled.
Please DON'T MOVE HERE. I move around a lot for work, and I'm used to seeing bad reviews for apartments. I understand that most of the reviews are going to be written by people who have issues, and so they tend to skew negative anyway, and for that reason I tend to dismiss most of them, but for this place it's really true. Please don't ignore all of these warnings. Anyway, for the most part, I'm just here to add a voice to the crowd. The animal waste issues have been thoroughly covered, but they deserve another mention -- I would add serious pigeon issues if you live on the upper floors. I also echo the issues with dozens and dozens of unsupervised kids running around throwing things and screaming down the hallways all day. My apartment was previously rented by a smoker. They changed the carpet, paint, etc., but after a few weeks, the smell of it came back and was tough to take. To their credit, they offered me a different apartment when I first moved in, but it didn't smell yet, and so I decided not to move everything twice (my mistake). The rent payment policies are a joke -- you aren't allowed to pay your rent early in their online system, and so if you're even a day late because you forget to do it on the exact date, you get a big demand for possession or payment notice on your door the next day. Not that anything happens if you pay it right away, but it's a little embarrassing if you happen to have someone with you when you get home that day. Also their lease breaking policies if you try to leave early are borderline illegal. The leasing office area is nice, and the apartments look good when you first get there, but please, please pick somewhere else to live. There are far better options not too far away than this dump.
