Don't let a pretty face in the leasing office fool you. When i first looked at this apartment i had high hopes. The agent was nice and helpful but once the lease was signed EVERYTHING CHANGED. In the 4 months i have lived here i have had numerous maintenance problems. First, my upstairs neighbor's hot water heater busted and leaked hot water in between my walls and my ceiling and soaked my carpet. Also ruined many of the items in the outside storage area. I called emergency maintenance immediately and the issue wasn't resolved for 3 days! Now, two months later, i still have water stains all over my wall/ceiling and my carpet still hasn't been professionally cleaned. I come home everyday to the smell of Mildew and possibly mold. I signed a lease for an apartment with CENTRAL AIR. My Air Conditioner has been nonfunctional for about 50% of the total time i've lived here. I sat home many weekends with no A/C and no word from maintenance after calling emergency maintenance. To this very day, I have no AC and have recently received a window unit from the office. So now my bedroom is nice and cool but the rest of my apartment is 90 degrees or more. Thanks for allowing me to live comfortably in ONE room of the apartment i pay ALL the rent for. I wouldn't recommend this complex for anyone especially if you have children/pets. I cant imagine what my experience would be like. Also don't be fooled by the neighborhood. This area may be surrounded by nice homes and decent looking businesses, but this place is definitely ghetto. BE WARNED DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!
Love the enthusiastic and attentive staff, and excited to hear about all the property improvements underway - new exterior paint, unit upgrades, and many other exterior repairs!
Unstable management, rapid turn-over of employees, terrible attitudes, and completely unwilling to maintain the property. ONLY LIVE HERE IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. My wife and I relocated from the Midwest and did everything we could to research properties, neighborhoods, and communities. We just needed an apartment for about a year, until we got settled in. Holly Ridge appears to be in a quiet, attractive neighborhood, but oh my god! We've only been here two months and the employees in the front office change all the time. They will tell you something, and two days later they're gone and the new person says something different. The pool has been green and disgusting for weeks (of course they will disagree and say it's only been a few days). They lie lie lie lie lie all the time. The old manager was sweet and cooperative. Shannon was a large part of why we chose the community. She's gone and some troll is working in the office now. She is rude, scowls at me when I ask them to do anything, and they are completely inflexible; they have failed to honor at least three promises made by former management. Further, besides the filthy pool, the late night parties (8 people smoking pot in the filthy pool at 2am, despite the locks on the gate), there is TRASH all over the place. The scum who live here just throw their refuse on the ground. I mean, whole trash bags just tossed off balconies and laying around the parking lot. The outgoing mailbox is damaged and leaves your outgoing mail to get soaked if it rains (or stolen). Street lights and security lighting went out a few weeks ago and have never been repaired, and even the vending machines aren't working. And I get attitude when I report it. I don't care what anyone on here says, they cannot refute the facts. The new management of this property are quickly turning it into a slum. I am horrified that I chose this property. The price isn't too bad and it's close to everything. So that's at least something, but my wife and I are holding our breath, praying for the day we can move out!!!!!!! Just 10 more months. Gonna be horrible. So PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE. If you do, you are only encouraging them to keep up the same behavior. If sales slip, perhaps they will start cleaning up.
