The atmosphere is amazingly comfortable, not to mention ALL the friendly faces in both the casino and hotel, one of the TOP Las Vegas establishments with the most friendliest staff. Gaming is very nice also, they are one of the only casinos that has Lucky Lucky BJ. If you like poker, this casino has some major bonuses and a nice bad beat!!! Slots are excellent and they have a great rewards program!!! Food is not pricey and the quality is excellent!!!
Quaint, clean, and for the price, very unoffensive. GVR is a great place to stay for a trip, meet up with friends, or even detox for a weekend, if needed. Although it sits fifteen minutes from the strip and doesn't host the usual Sin City nightlife glamours, it does make up for itself in quality in relaxation and harmony. GVR continues to rule itself as a very classy setting in the suburban Henderson area, and even though it is not embellished, it really has a great setup, and offers a wide variety of entertainment for both locals, and those from out of town looking to stay on the down low.
'Free' internet is slow. $10 a day charge for adequate internet service - which only works some of the time. Also, location.
Overall okay experience. Checked in at 2:30 p.m., was told room was not ready yet. Found out check in time was 3 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., hubby checked to see when room would be ready; room was not ready but they gave us another room. Room was spacious and clean. Got a glass of wine at the Lobby Bar, $14.40 per glass (merlot). Totally over priced. Won't frequent the bar again. Had breakfast at the Grand Cafe. Hubby's biscuit and gravy were cold. Otherwise, food tasty. Was there for a convention; not sure I would stay there on my own.
Stayed at this resort for a 3 day conference, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was expensive but the rooms and entertainment were great. I would definitely stay here again.
