Really bad. Rodent infestations. Squirrel crap n piss in the walls. Ignored Orkin recommendation to strip off outside wall, clean out the rodent crap and replace insulation. Landing floods 6' wide every time it rains. Staff doesn't care after they get your money. Poor quality drawers and cabinet doors. Raise the rent on 1 bedroom apt $50.00 or more EVERY YEAR. When u look under the covers things fall apart real fast.
I have lived at signature point Apartments at Kent for almost 3 years, I just saw the reviews that some people wrote.I realize that only people who write reviews are the ones who have had one bad experience. well I love the place ,it feels like home, there is space between apartment buildings which makes it to have more walking area and room for kids to play. the staff are nice the maintenance has always been done in timely manner, grass is always cut, there is always some sort of flowers planted around and wow the sound of the water fountains to great you after a long day of work. It is quite, people are friendly, and I do appreciate the security guard who drives around late at night, so many times when my daughter came home late, he had made sure that she is in the apartment safe. The only issue I have is the parking, not having a assigned a parking spout, sometimes it is hard to find one close to your apartment. other than that best place to live. AK
I moved into Signature Pointe a few months ago and have been very happy with my experience. The 1bedroom apartment is generously sized and has a good layout. The kitchen is separate and has a very open floorplan and pantry - perfectly nice. The staff is very nice and helpful sometimes 2 or more girls will say HI and are very helpful with packages. Maintenance requests are almost always resolved within 24-48 hours. The location is great for me - close enough for all the amenities at the cabana and has a very good view of the trail. My favorite part about the location is the proximity to the Kent Station. Honestly, I think this is the quietest block I've lived on in my six years of living in New York. The building isn't all sunshine and rainbows, obviously. The appliances are not the newest but hey, it still works. If my next door neighbor is making garlicky pasta, my whole apartment starts to smell like an Italian restaurant. The management company seems to be good, I honestly haven't interacted with them beyond scheduling my move in day and they were fine. I don't know how they are with lease renewal as I haven't gotten that far yet, but the leasing agent seemed to know to the market really well and was realistic in the lease negotiation process.
Black mold lining all the windows, which they know about and have you sign saying they are not responsible. I had to pay $1200.00 additional deposit to move in because of my credit, which is fine, but upon move out (because rent jumped over $100.00 when it came time to sign again Ugh NO) they took $715.00 for cleaning??? Are you kidding me.. Another thing I had a crack in my ceiling from roof damage so yes moisture and more mold my family is being subjected to and it was reported to the office on multiple occasions and even the maintenance man wrote down the roof needs to be fixed before they can fix the damage inside. Do you think they fixed it, no? They spend all the money on remodeling the office and weight room and the club houses, rather then updating the windows so mold wont grow, fixing the roofs so leaks don't happen, etc. The ONLY reason I am giving two stars is because Desiree (leasing manager), she was awesome! DON'T MOVE HERE>
Best place to live ever. So many amazing amenities and most of the staff is nice. Apparments are nice but be careful the paint sucks don't touch the walls lol also there is this strange mold in my window lining but that's ok its not bothering me. Also very friendly neighbor's and no dog poop anywhere like someone said below lol It smell like cows every so often and sometimes it smells like seawater. Only outside though never in the appartmnet.
