DO NOT RENT HERE! I have lived here for two years, and the way that I was treated when I moved out was completely unacceptable. First, the charges that I incurred in my itemized account was ridiculous to say the least. I was charged $70 for a heavy carpet shampoo. When I requested pictures of the carpet, the management team sent me blurry pictures. Despite the pictures being blurry, there was no evidence that showed that my carpet had stains that required me incurring this expense. I did not have any pets or children and never spilled any kind of colorful liquid on my carpet. In addition, I was a law student during my duration at these apartments, so I was practically never at home. My email conversations with the management team was extremely rude. They were acting as if my opinions and concerns did not matter, and wanted to sweep the issue under the rug. I tried to make an appointment with the head manager and she was never available. When I finally made an appointment with her to discuss the itemized accounting, I waited in the lobby for her for more than 30 minutes. In addition, I called the apartments twice previously to confirm that we still had an appointment and no one answered the phone. When I finally got a chance to question her about some of the ridiculous accusations on my accounting (especially the carpet cleaning), she told me that it was company policy to charge the tenant for a heavy carpet shampoo when there is significant stains. I asked her to show me where there were any stains in my carpet, and she pointed to some place on the carpet where you could not even tell any stain was there. Basically, these apartments try to charge you for getting the apartment ready for another tenant. If a tenant has lived in the same apartment for two years, for the sake of other tenants, the management should be doing a heavy carpet shampoo anyways. Not to do so is very unsanitary and I highly question their cleanliness. Further, you should not charge your tenants for a heavy carpet shampoo when there are not significant stains in the carpet. The management team at these apartments are highly unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. Also, their management team seemed to be changing almost monthly. This may be proof that the head manager does not know how to treat her employees or tenants with respect and courtesy.
Renter beware!!!!!! Theses apartments were nice when we moved in 2 years ago. Since then management changed and these people don't care! They changed the pool rules so it was super hard to have guest over which resulted in us not ever using the pool. Then at move out they charge you so many fees. They charged 2 months water because the property is behind 2 months, $150 for pool wrist bands that we were not told we had to pay for until our second year because we didn't have them anymore, (they cost less than 5 bucks to make) and a whole load of other fees that were so ridiculous. We have lived in luxury apartments before and never experienced the type of foolishness we did with these people. I tried compromising and talking to them but at the end of the day they don't care. I regret ever living here. Make sure you read the fine print and ask more questions as they try to rob you on the move out bill. There are many other great luxury apartments on Shadow Creek Ranch! Don't settle for these. They are not worth it in the end!
Worst place I have ever lived I wish there was a 0 star rating after moving in here I got bed bugs I asked them to provide me the inspection determining the apartment was free of bed bugs before move in and they wouldn't (likely because they didn't get one) also asked them to send over the inspections for adjoining apartments and they said "we already had those ones inspected and they were free of bugs" upon asking my neighbors they confirmed no inspection had ever occurred if you are moving in here do not sign the bed bug addendum as they have an ongoing unresolved problem and you are not required to. Good luck to anyone who wants to press their luck here
This place has totally gone down hill as far as personnel is concerned. They care about nothing but keeping your mouth closed! So not only do they try to trick my family and I on a discounted price (which is what they offer on the time frame anyway), but after we move out, They try to charge us on a heavy cleaning BASED ON BLURRY PICTURES!!!... In which you can't even tell that the carpet is overly soiled! THEY DIDNT EVEN TRY THE REGULAR CLEANING that they have to do... The maintenance guys are awesome but most of the staff sucks! Except Marissa of course (if she's still there by the time you read this)! They do NOT have YOUR best interests at heart!
I have been living here for nearly 2 years and hadnt had any problems whatsover, however I completely agree with the other reviewer. Ever since the Gables took over a few months ago, I have received countless notices on my door and rude or unknowledgeable staff when I call. The complex has also began to become more relaxed with the residences that they allow to live here, I hear they accept residences with multiple broken leases now...hmm interesting. Parking has also gotten ridiculous.. it wasnt until a couple of months ago that I started having to park 1 to 2 buildings away and this is not late at night this is always before 9pm! It seems that they are letting any and everybody move in to get money... and you can certainly tell the difference. I cant wait till my lease is up !!! Hmm.. perhaps I'll check out the new complex they are building next door. I would just think that if you are gonna charge 1,000 + in rent per month, the least you could do is be nice and courteous to your residences and be selective in your resident pool.
