WORST APARTMENT EVER. Do not be fooled by the cheap price! I wish I would have spent the extra money and moved into a better place. When I moved in the conditions were horrible. There were bugs in my room, a wasp nest outside the window so I couldn't crack the window (three months later and it's still there), I found belongings to the previous tenant under the bed, the bathroom was FILTHY, the shower head was molded. The kitchen was falling apart, the dishwasher needed to be replaced and it took asking three time to get it replaced, and the bugs are ridiculous. I hope you enjoy the extra protein from the fact they are EVERYWHERE in the apartment especially in the kitchen. The staff is super nice, but that doesn't fix the fact that maintenance is slow. It takes them weeks to get back to you, IF they remember to get back to you, and they walk into your apartment whenever they feel like it. They don't call to inform you they are coming. Numerous of time I have been in the shower and hear men talking in the living room. HELLO, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?! The apartment is dark and dreary, the walls are super thin and you hear EVERYTHING. Upstairs neighbors, side neighbors, and roommates. The security is weak, and the response time to fire alarms and noise complaints are longer than they should be. But if none of the stuff I have mentioned bothers you, maybe the fact that the wifi is slow and always in and out will do the trick. Seriously, don't waste your time at this dump. The staff is great and super friendly, however that doesn't cut it.
Lived here for a year. Maintenence locked me out if my bedroom and apartment multiple tines and wanted to charge me $50 to come unlock my door.. Had multiple issues with dryer, sink, lights, ac, etc that maintenence took a while to fix. Pool was closed all summer and when I complained I got an "oh well" from the staff. The rooms are big and nice but the fire alarms randomly go off sometimes..
This is the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life. The ghetto property manager didn't do jack squat but ride around on a cart all day with her crooked wig. if you ever need anything done, it takes days, weeks and even months. Don't bother trying to upgrade your lease unless you want to live co-ed ? who TF does that..... always unprofessional , rude, and dirty YET they want they money on time.....
Boardwalk is a great choice for a reasonably priced apartment. I have lived her for about 6 months, and although everything has not been perfect the staff here has been fantastic with their response to my needs. I decided to resign for another year because of the reasons above, but also because living here has been easy. I haven't had to worry about anything because of how a community like this is set up, ensuring that everything is included in your monthly payment for one low rate.
I have lived at Boardwalk at Appleyard for 3 years and I've loved it. Compared to other complexes, the rooms are quite large, as are the living room and kitchen. The maintenance staff is friendly and quick to fix anything you may have a problem with. The mail system advises you via email and text when you have a package, which is very convenient. There is ample resident parking and usually enough visitor parking as well. Although it is a little farther from the FSU campus than you may want to be, the price makes it very worth it. It is at least $200 cheaper than the smaller apartments closer to campus. It recently changed to a pet friendly complex so pets are welcome. Also we get free tacos on Tuesdays.
