I moved into the newest additions to the Vista at Lost Lake in October 2014 and I LOVE it. I'd have to say they are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for (BRAND NEW). The ONLY things I can complain about is that it does look as if they rushed to get the project completed (paint residue on floors and back-splash) and finding parking is a little difficult at times.. Other than that, EVERYTHING is super clean, inside and outside is well maintained, the staff is always so friendly and nice- definitely makes you feel welcome, I feel super safe in my apartment, great atmosphere (families and young adults). I also have a puppy and he loves the awesome amount of space outside to run around in the doggie areas! Neighbors have small pets too and everyone is so friendly and professional. I had a maintenance issue and it was completed that night. I've lived in other apartments and this is by far my favorite yet. I really hope it stays this way!
I have noticed a lot more cars in parking spaces Saturday and Sunday. It would seem that there are people that do not live in this community are using the pool and rec center on the weekends, when management is not around to monitor it. I also have noticed lots of cars parking in the handicap spots with no tags on the plate or mirror. I've thought about calling non-emergency to report it.
We're going to be moving in here, and it seemed nice, you people who say it's noisy deal with it, it is a apartment not a old people's community lol
Vista at Lost Lake may look cute, but service is bad.Starting after signing contract they treat you with no big respect-taking your check while eating,,they actually did take a check and call you-you are late to pay...)))Just forgot, she got it)))Pool is DIRTY,never clean at the time-you will end up with your face covered with cream and your child crying, facing a big sign on the door-pool is closed, they will not even let you know, baaaaad surprise...Trash unit is often broke,so 30-40 bags with trash ,left by people, will wait outside, smell and look bad.If you have problem with air condition,it may take them up to 1wk to repair it,units are cheap and some times not even the model, they need-and it is problem of chip owner, not of the guys working there.Because they have not enough people working with their chip electronics and washers. If you get a unit with den, remember,AIR CONDITIONS ARE ON FRONT,IT IS NOISY,so you will not enjoy cup of tea or coffee, sitting there. Mntenence is late, never coming at time they would say.Gates are not closed-this is NOT gated community, forget it-back gate is open 24/7.This has nothing to do with a new construction they have,it always was this way. The road in front is horrible because of construction, broken. The front gate is busted OF BY CARS almost 3-4 times at month and always on repair-it actually gives you idea about WHO IS MOSTLY LIVING IN,I see gate down mostly in the mornings. Rent price is high, and you will overpay, how you can see-better rent a house for that money. They will take a deposit+first month ANY WAY,good o bad credit you have.I know it,because my is good. They have a dog park-but dog owners do not go there, they walk around YOUR BUILDING and most of them do not pick up after dog...No body enforce the rules, they have. They took of the car washer, did not put an other. The TV in training center was broke for 5 MONTHS,before they put a new one. I really deslike the place.Only good things-location and view. But it is not all I expected for this price and assurances, they give.DO NOT RENT HERE.One time the broken glass on the play ground was not taken of for 5 days.I so an other resident coming with MANAGER TO MAKE HER TO PICK THAT UP!!!Outrageous.
My husband and I have lived here for six months now. It has been a great experience so far. We live in a third floor apartment in Phase I. Overall pros: *safe, friendly complex *well-lit *quiet neighbors *clean neighborhood *close to awesome shopping *apartment freshly painted and new carpet installed between each tenant *good sized swimming pool *fully equipped gym area- never too crowded *always feel safe *really fast with maintenance requests (same day or next day) Overall cons: *carpet is cheap (wears out in main areas pretty fast) *suddenly have a $10 service charge if I'm paying rent online *sometimes parking is close to full (never not found a spot, though) *only one garbage place *can't move to new phase until current lease is up *office doesn't let you know if you have a package waiting until it's been there a week or more *no hot tub Bottom line, if I had to choose again, I would still choose Vista at Lost Lake. Yes, there are some things we are unhappy with, but overall we like living here quite a bit.
