GOING DOWN HILL FAST We have lived here for a few years now and have seen lots of changes and not all for the good. Lets start with Management if I could give a lower score I would. the latest manager is untrained and and not a people person. She yells at her staff and berates the renters at every chance. Many long term renters are moving out DUE TO HER!!! Even though there are newer units and they are in the middle of redoing the older ones they just are not worth the rent they are asking for. Vehicles are broken into on a regular bases. Gates are down more than they are working. The site is trashed due to kids not picking up behind them self's Management will not add trashcan where needed They force you to pay for trash and a service to pick up your trash Trash left behind garages (some items have been there for more then 2 years. Many units being used as a hotel for a golf school There are better choices in the area for a lot less money!!
When we moved in two years ago we were caught up by the beauty of these apartments. But slowly our apartment started falling apart. The microwave started to spaz out and beep uncontrollably. The AC freezes over once a week in the summer. The small wooden pieces that are in between the balusters in the loft have all fallen off. The plastic piece that covers the top of the blinds in the living room fell off the second day. Then the dryer stopped working. That's when we had the pleasure of meeting the laziest "handymen" I've ever seen. We were without a dryer for a week. He would show up for a little in the morning , then leave and not come back the whole day. Then show up the next day at 4 and say "I only have an hour to work on this". He left the cover off the back with wires hanging out of it over the weekend. Really not safe when you have a small child, as I do. The renovations were a disaster. I couldn't use my kitchen sink for 3 days because it was leaking. They left the second refrigerator in my apartment for 2 WHOLE WEEKS! I called Karen, the project manager, 3 or 4 times and she would say "They haven't gotten that yet? I'm so sorry!" and then no one would come. One of the technicians was carrying supplies in and out of the apartment with a cigarette in his mouth. Literally, smoking in my apartment. The club houses are not allowed to be reserved for private functions. Like birthday parties or family gatherings, which is understandable so I requested to pay to rent it out and was also told no. However, the golf academy uses the smaller one for big catered parties and take up every table in it and the ovens and fridge. I was using the grill and went in to wash my utensils and the woman from the academy told me I wasn't allowed in there. So, I called the front office and asked why they were allowed to reserve it for private functions but I couldn't have my daughters birthday there. I was told the golf academy refers a lot of their students to the apartments so they have special privileges"then told to mind my own business. That's a whole other thing. The parking is terrible and the golf academy has a whole fleet of vans they park in the premium spots. It's absurd. The office people are stuck up and rude especially the office manager. Oh and the rent is $350 more than when we moved in 2 years ago!
I am just really sick of this place, I moved into the new phase, I loved it at first, but the new club house in the summer is always dirty, so many promises and nothing has change if not getting worst, they letting anybody just move in and so many are moving out, I suggested for Christmas they put lights in the entrance of the Community and they say "We will take into Consideration" nothing has been done, Staff is ok, Last night I came home from work and the lights of the outside were not on and it was dark as it can be, I leave to work in the dark and come home in the dark as well and this should of been taken care of ASAP, but noooooooooooo, they were at a Christmas party, we pay such a high rent and you think they would take care of your tenants so that they want to stay, I deeply regret signing another year. It's a beautiful place but it doesn't matter because it's not being taken care of and all the good people are just moving out left and right. I also notice management only answers to good reviews and bypass the complaints, I can only hope that this year coming up goes fast because I will be looking else where. Basketball court is always close, other people from the outside come and go and use it as well at the pool, and the solution is to close it and our kids can't get the time they like to play, and again paying such a high rent for these amenities and we DON'T benefit nothing, gym is a joke, old equipment. Such a huge disappointment. Don't they want loyal tenants to stay for the long run, nope!! Everyone come and goes and it's giving this Complex such a bad rap. By writing this I am just venting, because I know nothing will be done.
I've lived here for nearly three years, and I've never experience anything but courteous and professional behavior from the staff. The complex is clean and quiet, and the neighbors are nice. Highly recommended!
I moved into the newest additions to the Vista at Lost Lake in October 2014 and I LOVE it. I'd have to say they are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for (BRAND NEW). The ONLY things I can complain about is that it does look as if they rushed to get the project completed (paint residue on floors and back-splash) and finding parking is a little difficult at times.. Other than that, EVERYTHING is super clean, inside and outside is well maintained, the staff is always so friendly and nice- definitely makes you feel welcome, I feel super safe in my apartment, great atmosphere (families and young adults). I also have a puppy and he loves the awesome amount of space outside to run around in the doggie areas! Neighbors have small pets too and everyone is so friendly and professional. I had a maintenance issue and it was completed that night. I've lived in other apartments and this is by far my favorite yet. I really hope it stays this way!
