This is by far one of the biggest rip offs in the Tacoma area! All military personnel stay away from this location. While living here my husband truck was broken into along with many others. The "security" is a joke.... When he is not in the sitting in his car sleep, he is on his cell phone. I've filed many complaints with the numorus of managers (every 2 months they have a new staff)! When moving out I personally called and came by the office 5 times just to get a move out appointment and the manager was VERY rude and unprofessional, she actually asked me why did I just show up and not wait until she called me back. After forcing her arm to conduct the move out inspection she asked me "is the a reason a couldn't just move out with out one". Durning my move out she had no information on how much any damage would cost and actually stated "you will see how much it is when you get your final bill". This place is far from military friendly! I'm currently deployed and have tried to pay my $100 balance online (after I was robbed of my deposit) and My account online have been deleted.... I have been told as of today "to pay the collection agency" (moved out 2 months ago). I would not recommend a dog let alone a person to live here! RUN WHILE YOU CAN.
Me and my husband absolutely hated this place!! These apts are a waste of anybodys time and money...were so glad were out of that horrid place. They don't take care of they're property and they're cheap..their carports suck!! One of them fell on our car and they did nothing to help with the damages.. And parking is a nightmare.. And theyre security is a joke too..they do nothing to help you..I would never ever recommend anyone renting at the Boulders..
My experience living in these apartments was not a bad one, and I was very shocked to see the other reviews, as the vast majority of them are negative. My husband and I lived here for 10 months and left this past July. I had genuinely positive experiences with the office staff 99% of the time, they were always very friendly and I never felt uncomfortable around them when bringing up any concerns or questions. Are they LUXURY apartments? I wouldn't confidently say so. However, we loved our apartment and never once did we have to contact maintenance for any reason. The high ceilings on the second floor and reasonably priced square footage are just two of my favorite things about our unit (we had a 2bd unit), the cons being that our oven was from the Stone Age and the floor on the balcony was AWFUL (chipping away and getting absolutely disgustingly mildewy, despite my efforts to fix it). Be warned: the utility billing for this complex can be very confusing and was a big pain, and was fairly expensive - especially for the garbage service that was horrendous, with garbage constantly piling up near the dumpsters. Unpleasant. Otherwise, we had a good experience with this apartment. We personally ran into problems come time for us to move regarding us having to move out a week INTO the month instead of on the first of the month, and they really really worked with us and let us do what we needed to. If we hadn't had to PCS, we probably would have renewed our lease. Don't believe some of the horror stories, it's really not bad at all.
Run! Anything is better than living with mold. Washington State health department should take a look at all ground floor units. 72 hours for the landlord to repair not 2 weeks. Management unable to approve water damaged apartment? No offer to relocate me and my family to another unit without damage. My girls are having a hard time breathing. But I'm sure someone will call me if the rent is late.
I have lived in my apartment for 3 months now. There are always things to complain about but I honestly have had a really good experience living here. The reviews are so negative and I'm confused why. Other than the fact that people LOVE to complain. This is a nice spot to live, people. Not too expensive and pretty. The apartment complex is very large which I'm sure is why people complain about maintenance speed but my experience with the office crew has been wonderful. Partially because I am extremely respectful to them because they are humans working in a service position and deserve respect. Darron is the man!!! He has worked on his days off for me and made my move in so smooth.
