Wasn't the worst place I've lived, but on top of taking my deposit when leaving they charged another $420 which went to a collections agency a week later. Upon calling to discuss the matter, because in my opinion I left the unit looking better than when I moved in, and was ready to provide pictures. The move-in/out sheet they have you submit was blank compared to the copy I had which was not. Several letter throughout the year stating along the lines that I would be charged "X" amount if patio was not organized, or blinds were not hanging. Never did I talk to the same office workers to ever get things resolved. As just a few of the minor headaches mentioned there were many more I had. If you think calling them will help, it most likely won't, "example?" You ask? My issue was the parking, neighbors had guests over and took up all the room in front of my door, so I had to park on the opposite side of the building in a lot. When I contacted the office the woman gave me something along the lines of "well...we don't have numbered parking, did you try parking in the lot?" That's when I hung up and decided, I will NOT be renewing any contract here....
This place is a bad place that will take your money and give you nothing in return. It is dirty, poorly maintaned, poorly staffed with horrible residents. They do not perform background checks so the caliber of people that live there are sub par. In fact I just saw on the news they were arresting a terrorist suspect who lived there. It is the biggest waste of money and my fiancé and I would like this to be a warning for anyone thinking of moving there. All electric, all crap.
I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone that asks. It is quiet in the area where we reside in this apartment complex and we have our privacy.
When leaving the companies Heathermoor Apartment community, in Columbus, OH, they sent my wife a final bill of $180.00. When I went to pay my half of this charge, as my wife and I are seperated, they informed me that we owed them $360.00 towards the final bill and that it had been written off. I was confused as to how the balance was higher than what the bill my wife received stated. I was also surprised that after only leaving the apartment on 6/6/15, they had already written off the amount due by 6/16/15. This was not even 30 days and they were ready to send it to collections. After disputing the charges being so high, as my wife had received a bill for half what they stated, I ended up paying the $180.00 to prevent this from going to collections and pay half of the charges they stated we owed. I then contacted my wife and informed her that the rental office still stated we owed them $180.00 more and explained we neeed to pay fast before it was sent to collections. The next day my wife contacted the rental office and was told that what they informed me was correct and that we still owed them $180.00. My wife explained that she received a final bill stating that we only owed them the $180.00. They then started to say she was incorrect. After a while on the phone, they found an "issue" with the billing system that had doubled the amount due and accepted the $180.00 I had paid as the final payment for the apartment. This is the icing on a 2 year long poor experience with this rental company. They took a very long time to replace a stove that was not working correctly, among other negative issues. In talking with the other residents around the complex, mine is actualy a minor issue of how this company handles their business. They gouge their residents and take half measures to save a dollar and pray the residents don't pay attention, so it is not fought.
Poor management, poor staff & bad attitude. I DO NOT recommend !!! Thanks,
