My fiance` and I are in our 30's and this is our first apartment. We've been here for almost two years and it's time for something bigger and better. I'm paying $700 (with water) for the 620 square footer (non-upgrade) and I have to say... it's pretty tight in here. I will be looking for a bigger place. It is pet friendly environment and the one bedroom apartments get their own washer/dryer. They have a laundry mat just in case. Both swimming pools are nice and are cleaned every morning during the summer time. The gym is 24/7 and you can pay the rent online. I've gone through 2 management changes here and all three have been... well... let's just say that the current staff are doing their jobs. The repairmen have usually been on time and do great jobs with the repairs. Watch your electric bill over the winter. The windows and sliding doors are not double pane tight like the modern apartments are. We keep the heat on extra long to balance out the coldness around the windows. I even keep towels on the bottom of the window, but that doesn't help much. During winter season, my bill is around $150. In the summer, its around $80. Trash and lawn is always tidy. Outside lights are always replaced. They have added this new trash pickup service every afternoon (Trash Fee is added to your rent now.) All the roofs were replaced in the Fall 2014 and they patched up the holes in the concrete this past winter. The new speed bumps are not the best things ever. Too many of them I'd say. The Exit Gate is never closed and during the day, they've changed the rules on the Entry Gate which has gotten some people confused and has even damaged there cars. What's the point of being in a gated community if you deliberately keep the gates open? I have seen some emergency vehicles here a couple times but no cop cars, so I would say the crime rate is kinda low here. They just recently replaced the broken concrete steps. I heard they will be repairing and repainting all of the building this coming Summer (2015). I asked about the Windows/Sliding Doors be replaced with weather saving ones and they said it will be sometime next year (2016), but it's not guaranteed. The location is good. Plenty of gas stations, food, bars, banks, grocery stores, it's near I-40, and the airport is close too. Which brings me to my next point. A lot of flybys. If you have a third-shift job like I do, you have to sleep with the flybys. Overall, it's not bad if you are a heavy sleeper like I am, but the SouthWest planes are the loudest. The main reason why I want to leave is the size. 620 is just too small for a couple. It's too small just for me. I do have a lot of crap... but I digress. Overall... it's an affordable starter place and it's livable.
My wife and I have been here for more than a year. Yes it has its pros and cons, but we like it here. The staff in the office are very knowledgeable. The maintenance crew are polite, professional, and courteous.
I have lived here for three years and the only complaint I have is they don't have bigger units so i can stay and continue to be a resident. They staff is friendly and patient and handle and request I have with no problem. I will miss living here.
This place is terrible. I cannot believe the management gave me a hard time getting in when all I see is young "urban" activity going on all hours of the night.I was actually approached coming in late at night by someone in dark hoodie asking me if I was "looking".I can only assume what that meant but...anyways...all hours of the night partying yelling and screaming...and they say they have security here ,never saw them. My lease is up in 2 months thank goodness...They need to keep it a campus or not or separate areas for those hard working people and the "students". My daughter and I do not feel safe here.
