Found these apartments when looking for a place in Melbourne, FL online because I was moving from Massachusetts. So GLAD that I found this p.lace, I have had NO problems at all. I knew moving here that I was planning on buying a house and would only be living here for a year. My year is almost up and just in time. I finally found a house and will be closing by the end of April 2015. The apartments are nice & pretty spacious. We LOVE the screened porch. Where I live, I look over the golf course. It's a great place to watch the sun set. You can also watch the air show from my porch. With a one time pet fee, your allowed to have 2 pets which was a MUST for me as I have 2 cats. The ladies in the office are supper sweet & nice. They are so polite, easy to talk to, and always have a smile on their faces. The maintenance staff are super nice also and I never had to wait for anything that I may have needed done. There is ample parking. They also keep the grounds beautiful. The pool area is spacious and clean. Like somebody else said in a review, watch when walking in the grass because some BAD dog owners don't pick up after their dogs and it doesn't make sense because Courtyard on the Green SUPPLY BAGS for pick up their dog's mess. I was having an issue with daily dog poop being left in the grass by where I live. I told the office and of course they wouldn't know who it is but at my request they DID put out a notice to ALL apartments to remember to pick up after their dogs and if they are caught leaving their dog's mess, they will get fined $50. Finally the grass area by where I live was dog poo free. I did catch somebody in another area not picking up after their dog and told the office who followed up on it. Every person I have met that lives here are so kind and personable. If anybody ever asked for a good apartment in Melbourne, I would have no problem telling people to move to Courtyard on the Green. As long as your a good tenant and pay your rent on time, you will LOVE living here. I am sad to have to leave but soooo happy to have finally found a home of our own. If YOU are reading this and are considering Courtyard on the Green, DON'T HESITATE to move here. If I had to find something to complain about......the only thing I wish was different but didn't effect me is that there is NO silverware drawer in the kitchen. There is ONE drawer and it is much too tiny for silverware. I have a microwave cart that has a drawer that I use for my silverware and cooking utensils. There are some cabinets but I could use a couple more but none of this was a deal breaker for me. There are enough cabinets, I just have a lot of stuff. I made it work. :) Oh they also have washer and dryers in every apartment.....a SUPER BIG PLUS amongst everything else that I have already mentioned. Your minutes away from super markets, Walmart(a super one and a neighborhood one), gas stations, 7 eleven, work out places, fire stations, nails salons, TONS of places to eat, Staples, Radio Shack, Game Stop, Tuesday Morning, Vets, Pet shops, and much much more. It's nice that your 5-15 mins. away from anything that you may need/want but it is so beautiful and quiet in the complex. The middle school is less than a mile away and the elementary school is about 2 miles away. If I had to guess, the high school is maybe 5 miles or less away. Mark my words......you WILL NOT regret your decision to move here. Enjoy!
Grounds: 7/10 It's pretty around here, somewhat well maintained but people often times don't pick up after their dogs, so watch your step. Last year it took them a long time to get on top of their fire ant problem. Management: 6/10 Most of the time things are okay. I've had a few issues and had to work things out with the staff, a number of phone calls around. The typical "person said one thing, page said another" deal. Was threatened with a "late charge" for paying my rent two weeks early, around the 14th, then threatened with another charge for putting in my credit card info wrong. I redid the payment, and they never said anything about the "late fees" again. Parking: 8/10 Well lit, ample spots. On the odd occasion you have to park a few spots away from your normal spot but really, this has to be one of the best parking lots I've been in in a while. Maintenance: 1/10 Emergency maintenance? Nope. You don't get it, at all. I had a leak which was causing the pan in my water heater closet to overflow. They deemed that it was not an emergency, and very rudely refused to come out, even to look at it. It wasn't at 2am, it was around 9pm, a reasonable hour. They suggested turning off the AC during a hot stormy night, not even knowing for certain if the AC was the source of the leak, as water was on the water heater as well. Maintenance staff is rude on a regular occasion as well, if the one isn't being rude to you the other is trying to sleep with you, or another resident. A few girls in here have complained to my wife about this issue, including one who was harassed by him to "get in a bikini" for him. I've had maintenance orders go completely unfilled as well. Maintenance staff usually doesn't even wipe their feet before coming in on a rainy day. One also hung his wet coat to dry, dripping water all over a box I had just received from amazon which was still unopened. I wasn't home at the time. I understand that sometimes a mess has to be made, but at least clean it up afterwards. Calling a job "done" with mud all over the floor is unacceptable. I worked in an apartment complex doing maintenance in the past, everything from HVAC to drywall, and if I acted in the way that is common of this staff I would have lost my job. When we finally spoke with corporate about the maintenance, they claimed we were lying about the issues we've had. Construction: 6/10 These are wood construction, so expect some noise to go through from the floor above you. Nothing out of the ordinary for this area.
