I have been living in a 'newly renovated' apartment for over six months now. The complex is constantly overflowing with trash. Some of it is because of irresponsible and ignorant tenants, but that is no excuse for it to remain that way. The trash cans are always full and it sounds like there are rats the size of Godzilla in the dumpster at night...it is actually pretty scary. My apartment was newly renovated before I moved in and the work done to it was shoddy at best and cheaply done. This in noticeable from the finicky electrical work and plumbing. Also, when they do the renovations to these units, they don't replace the windows or the front door, both of which are original and poorly insulated from noise and temperature. I would not recommend this complex to anyone.
Yea we lived here for two years. It wasn't bad, but we didn't know better. They were character building years. Lots of roaches.
Let me just stick with the facts here... DO NOT lease an apartment here under any circumstances. I've rented apartments since college in '04 and Park Summit gets the award hands down for "Worst Apartment Overall". The apartments are old as dirt and the amenities are very scarce. The units are cold in the winter (you will need a personal heater) and smoldering hot in the summer (you will need a personal fan). The maintenance staff here is a joke and on one occasion my ceiling fan broke so to "fix" the problem the maintenance staff installed a ceiling fan that was also broken. The office staff is very rude and on one occassion we had meet with management staff over the entire complex only to be greeted by someone equally as rude. Park Summit is under First Communities Management and they have a horrible reputation regarding customer service. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau they have an overall letter grade of (F). Since I moved away from complex, I learned a valuable lesson never fall for any move in specials. If the complex is offering too many deals it usually is too good to be true. Furthermore, always research any company on the Better Business Bureau before you even think about signing a lease. Never settle for a place just because it is near your job because I would rather sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic than have to live in substandard housing. Since I've move away from Park Summit I can look back and laugh at how horrible my stay at Park Summit truly was. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Let me start with the few positives: the complex is close Emory Hospital and very quite. However, the workers are rude and could give a damn about their tenants. Furthermore, these apartments are cold as ice in the winter and hot as h*ll in the summer. Don't rent here no matter what you do and don't fall for any move in specials the office offers! I lived here for a year and it was pure misery. I would tell my worst enemy to lease an apartment at this h*ll hole!
Shit place, don't even plan to rent a apartment here u will regret it!! management is worst especially MARISA she thinks she owns the place & she is letting u live there for free, B**** we pay rent, u are doing us no favor, u get ur pay with our money, hv some respect for your tenants.. everyone in the community is talking about her now, I'm writing this so that who ever is concerned can change the staff or the attitude of those two ladies in the office. quinton is very helpful, but has no help to serve everybody in time, poor guy works really hard. They are increasing rent like crazy, they say the units are renovated.. all they did is painted the buildings, apartments are really old from inside.
