I have been lviing at this property for three years now, have seen several multiple teams trying to manage it. Bainbridge had just taken over when I moved in and the building was in bad shape, with water leakages spilling from one floor to the next, or drain blockages on a lower floor reaching a higher floor being common occurrences. Things have improved a bit on that front thankfully, but we have a new management team of highly incompetent people lacking any sense of courtesy. Forget about smiles and greetings, I was not even offered a seat on my last visit there. Some residents have perhaps been animated and vocal about their frustrations with the state of affairs in the building, and it is clearly not something this new team is capable of handling. A few days ago, my father also needed to visit the management's office, and what he saw was current residents and prospective residents (poor saps) were made to wait outside the office, with the front door locked, only allowing one party to enter at a time (welcome to state prison), received with coolness that beats the ice caps. These people are clearly far and above being nice, unless you are a prospective resident on the phone. I am coming to leave feedback here after I went to the bainbridge website and found no means whatsoever for leaving feedback about this management team and the property manager. While the property itself is not bad, I am giving it a one star rating because of the management. Coming from a person who has been around long enough to have a meaningful opinion, stay away and give your money where you will get it's worth.
I don't like anything about living at Blvd 2801. They have the rudest, unprofessional and useless staff ever. I had an animal living in my wall, to the point it was shaking the vent and I saw fur poking through. I called and put through multiple work orders for help with this. I kept getting emails back saying the problem was fixed. That night or next day I always heard the animal and the vent shaking. Once I saw the fur come through the vent that was it for me. I went to the office and they said it wasn't something they handled and I needed to call animal control myself. I said why did I keep getting emails saying it was taken care of and they said they don't handle it. The least they could have done was call me and let me know and tell me the steps I need to take so the animal doesn't pop the vent off and come into the house. This went on for about a month. I complained so much and took me saying I was going to contact the Better Business bureau before they called animal control to take care of it because even though they don't remove the animal it is there responsibility to take care of getting the appropriate people here to take care of it. We also had a faulty drier that made a horribly loud noise no matter how much laundry we put in it and they said it was user error. It's a drier, I barely put half a load in and it would make the same noise. I have to call and be extremely upset before they come out and take care of my issue. If I don't it takes them weeks. The staff especially the property manager Vanessa are rude and don't help at all. I emailed Vanessa about the animal in the wall trying to get some help and she never emailed me back or called because quite frankly she could care less. I'm so over living here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! For the amount of money we pay I expect a lot more. Run for the hills from this place!!
We have lived in our apartment for 8 months and had issue after issue. AC broke for 1 week stove broke, carpet flooded when AC broke, fire alarm false arlams 4 to 5 times a month, carpet in C building hall ways has never been steam cleaned stains all over looks like slums. The parking lot is always wide open. Other tents don't pick up there dogs mess. Motorcycles park between space and lock the spot up but don't pay for there parking yet others pay $50 a month to park. AC does not get turned on in builds till April. When are lease is up we will be running from this place. O weekends are like a free for all. Lights out in back walkways wife will not walk at night not safe. Please please review on weekends and at night before you move to this place ask around on your walks around property. We wish we did. It's more for younger kids.
Overall beautiful building: spacious apartments and great amenities. Would have stayed for several years, but they began to overcharge on utilities. Utilities are broken down by building, so no matter how much usage you have in your own personal apartment your utility rate is the same as a comparable apartment regarding square footage and occupants. (I asked a friend what their charges were to verify this) I have lived in several apartments with this and have never had an issue. Over the summer we started getting billed over $120 for water/sewer per month. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with only 2 tenants. I did my research and found this is double if not more what I should be paying. I reached out to property management to ask for the utility break down to figure out why it was so high and it has been over a month and the property management staff have just now informed me that they can only provide the formula for the calculation but not actual building usage because of "client privacy." Something suspicious could potentially be going on if they cannot provide proof of the utility break down. Unfortunately, the high utilities put me outside of my budget because it was more than the estimations given to me when I signed the lease. If considering this apartment complex, be sure to account for approximately double what they are saying utilities will be.
Really friendly staff. Really helped me find the apartment I needed. Ideally located with a great shuttle to the Metro.
