I agreed to move in for the accomedations that this complex offers its tenants, does far they not lived up to the agreement. Not being able to fix or replace my dryer in over a week is simply unprofessional and telling me to find a place outside the complex to do my laundry until they fix my dryer is simply the wrong answer by this management company. Am sure if am late on my rent I will be fine but them being late on a repair for an item that sold me to this property is simply a sad state of affairs. If you are looking at moving in to this location think twice and keep looking, unless they change the way they address their clients its not worth the price to live here.
I don't want to waste my time saying what everyone else said. So, I agree with everything above and below me. Don't live here. It's not worth it. Management is VERY nice until the second you sign the lease. [Added June 3, 2014:] Rent is due today. I tried to pay three days ago. My account has been deleted. I have called all 3 of their numbers and e-mailed them. 3 days later with rent due ($50 late fee) and no response. This place is awful. Get me out of this lease today.
Room had a nice view and was pretty cheap. However, on renewal they tried to jack up my rent by $200 bucks. No thanks. Security on garage is terrible. Had both my motorcycles stolen even though they were chained up. Managed to get one back but it's subject to frequent abuse and theft attempts. Management did absolutely nothing to help out and basically told me it was my problem to deal with.
I lived here for three years because the location was really good, but had problems with the management (old and new) the whole time. My roommate's father became ill two months before our lease was up, and passed the week our lease was due. He lived in another state, so she stayed there for two months to be with him until the end. I spoke to the front office and they said it was fine if we re-signed it a little late (5 days at the most). We go in to sign and they're all acting like I hadn't been in there 10 times to discuss it and they wanted to charge us all these exorbitant fees. Thank goodness I had emails to back me up, and way to be sensitive to someone that had just been through something horrible. We took great care of the apartment. The workmen damaged the carpet, and we kept asking them to fix/replace it. Well, when it's time to move out because there were just too many problems with the building and management, we're suddenly hit with this huge bill claiming we did all this damage. The most ridiculous was the broken microwave - yeah, it was so broken that we used it the night before we moved with no problems. We sent them a polite, detailed letter disputing the charges. We went back and forth several times, sent them a check (which was cashed) and suddenly - bam, we get a collection notice. Are you kidding me? So they just lied during our correspondence and turned our name over to collections. My roommate moved back out of state, and flew in to town to go over and talk with them in person during the height of this. They assured her there would be follow up, and there wasn't. Adam Stroop, the property manager, is a ghost. It's impossible to get hold of him and get anything done. My furnace was broken and made banging noises. I didn't sleep for three days, and had to resort to stating that I was going to call the tenant relations board before any action was taken. Our neighbors had the garage door fall down on their car when they were entering, and the property refused to pay damages because you enter the garage at your own risk. In short, I had a horrible experience, was taken advantage of when I moved out, with false claims on damage and damage to my credit. At least they waited until after I bought my new home to do this to me.
moved in during construction, glad that's over with. Overall really like the changes that have taken place, rooftop fitness center and terrace is awesome, love the grills, maintenance has been great, office staff has been helpful, especially during the move in process, even had a cart that we borrowed, saved me $25 bucks from uhaul.
