Do you value your hot water? Do not live here. Are you looking for a heating/functioning air conditioning unit? Do NOT live here. Do you wish to have excellent service and not get a runaround by management? I cannot stress it enough: DO NOT live here if you want any of the aforementioned amenities and/or services. In summary, I signed on for an 11 month lease. On within the first few days of having moved in, my water kept going from extremely hot to extremely cold--or, no hot water. Period. At all. After seeking out the management after having just moved in, they ended up telling me: "Oh, you share a hot water heater with 28 other tenants. Just try and take your shower at odd, random intervals in the day or night. It'll work.". Um, my response to that is: I am paying you $413 dollars a month for functioning, hot water. Sometimes, I wouldn't even GET water. And, the water pressure dissipates completely if there are a lot of apartments using hot water. I had to wait a full hour one morning for the water pressure to return back to "normal" (i.e., ice cold.). But hey, at least I have running water, right? Throughout the following months, while juggling school and work, I had to constantly ask management and voice my concerns as to how I was not satisfied with my living conditions. I even have documents of all the times and occasions that this occurred, and when I finally contacted corporate, I was completely ignored. The Downtown Tucson corporate office never returned my 7 phone calls that I made. Not ever. At one point, the property manager Ron told me that he would be able to install a small hot water heater into my apartment, but then he went back on his word by saying that he could lose his job over having to do so. I asked why he was not able to do so, when he told me that he could install it in the first place! "I have a family to care for; I cannot lose my job over this because it would be unfair to the other units if you were the only one to get a hot water heater. It breaks the equal housing opportunity rules." While I understand that there are equal housing opportunity rules to abide by, it does not mean that you go against your word, Ron. You should have known prior to telling me that you COULD install a hot water heater that you could actually do so. You mistreated and misinformed your tenants unfairly, and lied, thereby violating the Arizona Landlord/Tenant Act. After having told me that he could not install the hot water heater, I informed him that I wanted out of my lease and to just walk away. I have been not satisfied with my apartment since first moving in, and told him this. He then informed me that he would send an employee to look at my shower/faucet water heads and test them the following morning to see if they work. If they did not work, I could walk away. The following morning, a maintenance employee came as promised. However, the time that they tested the water was not even two minutes, if even that. Of course, the water was deemed "functioning" and I could not break my lease without being fined $2,000. Since I do not have those funds, I had to stay and put up with pitiful, cold showers that lack water pressure. I have the video evidence that many-an-attempted shower is not even worthy of being called a shower--more like a dripping, leaky shower head that is merely a trickling water stream. In conclusion, do not live here. I cannot wait to move out and put this place behind me. The management and its employees are not helpful, nor are they consistently informed by their higher-ups. Perhaps that it because those in the corporate leveled positions neglect their customers calls and abuse their guests. This is the worst run business I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I am not exaggerating when I say that. The company that owns this complex is MEB Housing, and I highly suggest that everyone refuse to sign a lease with MEB. Uncaring, dispassionate, and sad are the only words I have for this company. Perhaps one day, things will improve. But you have a long ways to go, MEB.
!!!Horrible place to live!! Don't live here spend the extra 100 elsewhere trust me its worth the extra money. Stuff breaks they drag their feet to fix it. When they do fix the issue its half ass and shit breaks again. multiple time my AC has broken they don't care they fix it when its convenient for them. plus waiting 7 days for my AC to get fix which has happened twice during my lease. Two other times it took around 4 days to get fixed. They gave me a 30 discount on my rent really!! That's a kick in my nuts! Screw this place, and the people that run It, and own it. Money hungry company that doesn't care about their tenants.
Waiting for my internet AGAIN
