There are PLENTY of reasons i can give as to why I won't be resigning a lease, but for the sake of peace I will keep this professional. The building was built in the early 2000s. There were no smartphones or wireless internet then, so reception is shoddy at best EVERYWHERE (pool, club house, apartment, etc) because the building was not built with wireless communication in mind. The residents pile up trash in front of the trash chute instead of putting it in there, and rarely clean up after their animals, with one case in particular where a pile of dog feces remained in a common indoor walking path for about 2 days. The parking garage is also a nightmare to park in, with resident (and guests) often taking up multiple spaces, leaving those who actually pay for a parking space at the mercy of people who are too lazy to follow rules. Do yourself a favor, and get something closer to the city
Well, unfortunately for Travis Scoles, he moved in/lived there during a period of HUGE transition. I am currently employed at CityGate Apts, and in the last three months since I started working there, we have fought and worked very hard to turn the place into a great place to live. I am part of the maintenance team that turns all of the apartments after people move out. Me and the rest of my team have recently put in tons of hours of overtime to get the building in great shape. We still have a few things to do, so if you come down and see us,and it's not perfect, just know that we are still a work in progress. We are remodeling the business center and club house right now, but by the end of the year, they will be sparkling and brand new. We recently drained the pool and hot tub, power washed it, filled it back up, and it is looking great once again. Things do break on it occasionally, as do pools at ANY location in the world. And since we care for our residents and their safety, we close the pool on occasion to get it back up to where the laws say it is supposed to be. We don't close it just because we can. There's ALWAYS a good reason. The trash chute is a whole different story. People try to stuff items that are waaaaay to big into the chutes. Why? I don't know. You'll have to ask them. But, as the maintenance team, we check them daily to see if they are clear and working. Also, people who move out, get lazy and don't feel like taking their stuff with them. So, they start to make a big pile of trash at the south end of the parking garage. Why? Once again, I don't know. My only guess is laziness. So, we have to call once a week for a special trash pick up. We do it on an as needed basis. So, sometimes the trash piles up pretty high before the trash company gets there to remove it. As far as the condition of the apartments go upon move in, we do our part to get them ready, but we also have contractors that come in and do repairs as well. So, if the carpet needs to be repaired, then we have a contractor come in and do it. Same for paint. Same for counter tops. We, the maintenance team, repair or replace the appliances and such. We also have a cleaning crew come in and clean the apartments before we rent them out also. So, if someone had a bad experience in the past, I apologize, however, the current maintenance team was not there at that point. We are all here now though, working as hard as we can to make the building as nice as we can. So, please come in and see us, talk to us about anything that may be wrong, and we will get it fixed asap. Thanks.
City Gate Apartments 8 months agoPublic 1 photo +1 1 Travis Scoles27 seconds ago If anybody is looking to move into these apartments don't we have lived here since October and have had nothing but problems with them supposedly they completely renovated the apartment that we moved into yet once we got in there after signing the lease because they won't let us see it before we signed it. It was still a disaster the cabinets were still trashed will holes and and nicks in them the patio door was half broken the windows didn't work the carpet they ended up putting in is already coming apart after just three months when we asked maintenance to come up and fix some of the problems it took them 4 times to fix our fireplace that wasn't working the window that doesn't open now opens but won't stay open we had problems with the smoke detectors and that's just in the apartment the stuff around the apartment like the pool was closed 5 times in 3 months that we live there due to chemical imbalances or pumps going out the fitness equipment sucks it keeps breaking its never clean the trash compactor and the trash chutes are always full because the compactor keeps breaking down so people pile trash up in front of the trash chute in the parking garage the doors on the parking garage are always broken so anybody can just get into the garage its not a secure facility half of the gates that you're supposed to use your key fob on don't work and all the halls and common areas are dirty all the time lights are out and have been for months and never fixed so if you're thinking about moving into this place and spending 1800 dollars a month by the time it's all said and done with a couple pets and parking this is for a one bedroom or what they call a one bedroom I would think twice and move somewhere else it is a craft place to live we are breaking are less to get out now very poorly ran the people don't care about you the maintenance doesn't care and the ownership doesn't care about maintenance our you and I'm top of it all my wife's car got side swiped in the garage by someone who didn't leave a note and we called the manger she said we don't have cameras and it happens all the time so the is nothing they can do I hope this post helps you to not get screwed out of your money
I recently had to make a quick move into a new complex and am so grateful to have found City Gate. Andrea (leasing professional) was my first point of contact & is beyond awesome. She made the entire transition so easy with her incredible personality and prompt follow-through with any and all questions and/or requests. Everyone in the complex is welcoming and friendly. I love how pet-friendly they are and all the incredible amenities!
I've lived at City Gate since May & have enjoyed living there since moving to Denver. The complex is in a great location & it has an amazing pool! The apartments are aa good size, it's quiet & always very clean. The parking garage could be better, with larger spots & assigned parking would be beneficial. Overall, I am happy living there & would highly recommend to others.
