City Gate Apartments 8 months agoPublic 1 photo +1 1 Travis Scoles27 seconds ago If anybody is looking to move into these apartments don't we have lived here since October and have had nothing but problems with them supposedly they completely renovated the apartment that we moved into yet once we got in there after signing the lease because they won't let us see it before we signed it. It was still a disaster the cabinets were still trashed will holes and and nicks in them the patio door was half broken the windows didn't work the carpet they ended up putting in is already coming apart after just three months when we asked maintenance to come up and fix some of the problems it took them 4 times to fix our fireplace that wasn't working the window that doesn't open now opens but won't stay open we had problems with the smoke detectors and that's just in the apartment the stuff around the apartment like the pool was closed 5 times in 3 months that we live there due to chemical imbalances or pumps going out the fitness equipment sucks it keeps breaking its never clean the trash compactor and the trash chutes are always full because the compactor keeps breaking down so people pile trash up in front of the trash chute in the parking garage the doors on the parking garage are always broken so anybody can just get into the garage its not a secure facility half of the gates that you're supposed to use your key fob on don't work and all the halls and common areas are dirty all the time lights are out and have been for months and never fixed so if you're thinking about moving into this place and spending 1800 dollars a month by the time it's all said and done with a couple pets and parking this is for a one bedroom or what they call a one bedroom I would think twice and move somewhere else it is a craft place to live we are breaking are less to get out now very poorly ran the people don't care about you the maintenance doesn't care and the ownership doesn't care about maintenance our you and I'm top of it all my wife's car got side swiped in the garage by someone who didn't leave a note and we called the manger she said we don't have cameras and it happens all the time so the is nothing they can do I hope this post helps you to not get screwed out of your money
I recently had to make a quick move into a new complex and am so grateful to have found City Gate. Andrea (leasing professional) was my first point of contact & is beyond awesome. She made the entire transition so easy with her incredible personality and prompt follow-through with any and all questions and/or requests. Everyone in the complex is welcoming and friendly. I love how pet-friendly they are and all the incredible amenities!
I've lived at City Gate since May & have enjoyed living there since moving to Denver. The complex is in a great location & it has an amazing pool! The apartments are aa good size, it's quiet & always very clean. The parking garage could be better, with larger spots & assigned parking would be beneficial. Overall, I am happy living there & would highly recommend to others.
I do like City Gate but there have been a few things that concern me after living here for a year. First off, people really need to clean up after their dogs more often. Seriously. Also the building needs better cleaning, and so does the work out area. I never see the men actually cleaning the machines, they may vacuums in there in the morning but that is not enough. Sometimes they provide some wipes to clean the machines but they dry out fast and don't really do anything. Seriously, city gate needs to step up their game especially with the Yards right across the road. So they tell you that no one can be in the pool after 10!!!! but then you see people in there at 3 am!! really annoying. Bad place, bad management.
Cheap, cheap, cheap, but not without the price tag. I lived at Citygate in 2007-2008. Apartment was tiny, floors cheap (scratched easily), noisy, basically claustrophobic. After moving out they took my $500 deposit then tried charging me an additional $900 to refinish the floor but never received word of this charge till two years later, (phone number the same for over 10 years!) Two years after that it was added to my credit report negatively. (2011) Now 7 years later they will do nothing to erase the debt (notify collector) from contractor work that was poor in the first place! So plan on getting any damage caused by day to day use stuck to you...big time! Parking is a disaster too. Dings, nicks, and sometimes you get sandwiched in altogether. Pool is a joke and for yuppie, beer pongees, and wanna bes.. Not to mention the Salvation Army is across the street which houses the highest concentration of rapists, thieves, and other criminals in the state! Dated a cop and he couldn't believe how close it was to there! An occasional hooker can be seen across the street along with crack heads camping out underneath the bridge coming out of d-town on Brighton. Overrated. Scary walk into downtown, that's why you always had to take a cab. Worst place I've ever lived!
