Fisherman's Village is the greatest place to live. They have a friendly office staff that is always willing to help when I need it, the lake keeps the property hidden and it stays SO quiet, and having the dog park on site helps my puppy burn off some energy. Plus, I can get downtown super quick which is really awesome getting to and from campus! I couldn't be happier to be a resident here!
First off every time I tried to get the staff to try and fix something in my apartment. I would call the office a couple times. Only to be blown off. Then I would have my mom call who wasn't even living there. Then things would get done. ●●Second I was given 2 days notice of whether I wanted to stay or leave the apartment bc my lease would be up in that 2 days period. And that was over a weekend at which I worked. I was given the heads up on a Friday it was due that monday. I was undecided on whether I was staying or leaving but had no choice but to stay. Now since I've decided to leave 3 months after they messed up and didn't have proper notice I have to pay $1500.00. ●●Thirdly as my last days approach ,July 2 I went into the office to tell them I do not need my car port for Aug and I just received my rent bill for Aug and the car port is on there and I'm being told I have to pay it. ●●There was even a couple times on my rent where they wanted a little extra money. So I had to go talk to them about it. And they messed up on the rent so they gave it as credit for the next month. I was/am till Aug 4th a good tenant they NEVER had problems with me. Not once. But unfortunately this review and their unfair ways prompted me to write this.●● Now I will say I had a block thrown threw my window and the man on call acted promptly and was wonderful.
I have only lived here 2 weeks so far, but it's been a very nice experience and I look forward to living here and probably even renewing my lease when the time comes. I love the nice big lake views I have in my apartment. The neighbors are friendly. They saw me struggling moving my big tv upstairs and offered to lend a hand, which was very helpful. The office staff and maintenance are prompt to respond to any requests and/or needs. Only thing I recommend getting fixed is potholes, and that's not too big of a concern considering that potholes are everywhere, especially after winter time. I give this places 2 thumbs up. Ready to fish on that big, beautiful, boat-friendly lake! :) -Andre Richards
Not a bad place to reside. Neighbors seem polite and staff seems very attentive to needs. Chuck holes are never patched in a timely manner, never. Was very hesitant to renew my lease due to the shitty roads.
I have lived here two years. Apartment office is poorly ran. They almost always lose mail and packages that are delivered. They even gave away 3 of my packages to the wrong person without checking the name on the shipping label. Our apartment mailboxes were also broken into and the office didn't bother telling anyone or fixing the problem. My car was broken into several times as it is a high crime area. The coin operated laundry machines have been replaced with ones that only allow cards that have been preloaded with money to activate them (which can only be added at the office....if the machine is working.). This wouild be a great idea, but the cards (which can have 30-40 dollars) will randomly stop working and you will not be able to get your money back for several days until they make you a new one. I would avoid this place unless you are just desperate for an apartment complex with crappy neighbors and piss poor management.
