I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND Grandeville at river place apartments to ANYONE!!!! I am currently under a 1 year lease and I couldn't be more unhappy with my experiences living here! my lease started in October 2015 which means I have only lived here for 4 months and I regret signing my lease agreement everyday! since I have moved in my car has been towed two times because there is never any parking!!! and they do nothing about it. I just recently had a leak inside of the wall that flooded my entire closet! and its been a week and the repairs are still not finished! my house smells like wet carpet that is slowly going away and my entire closet is on my bedroom floor because I have to wait for them to fix the holes they put in my wall! something is always broken in our apartment and the management in the office is terrible. !!!! they don't even know what they're doing or how to talk to people. the pool area is probably the nicest part of this apartment complex but the hot tub is always gross and most of the time isn't even hot.. we have a gym with broken equipment and no weights, and the tanning bed that is provided for residents is always broken or the office staff doesn't know how to work it.. this apartment complex is a joke and I hate living here. I get home late from work so by the time I get to my apartment literally all the parking is taken besides a few handicap parking spots, so people have to make their own parking. I drive around for at least 20 minutes every night looking for parking at my own home.! some people park on curbs which there are very few of because most of them are fire zones and you will get towed. recently I have been parking in front of the leasing office because that is literally the only parking spot that isn't yellow or handicap but today I received a warning saying I will be towed when I'm not illegally parked!! so today when I get home from work I will either have to park completely outside of the complex that I pay rent to live at or on the entire opposite side of the complex and walk 10 minutes to my front door! I HATE GRANDEVILLE AT RIVER PLACE !!!!!! worst living experience EVER !! ALSO ! if you are reading any good reviews keep in mind that after 2 months of me living here they changed owners and the entire staff is different... and horrible !!!
Horrible service, extremely rude. Worst leasing office and stuck up secretaries I have ever encountered. This office is a nightmare.
You won't find a better place to live in Oviedo. I lived at Grandeville for one year and was so sad when I transferred out of the area and had to move. Everyone at Grandeville from Dan and Luci in the office to Tony in the Maintenance Department are off the charts, incredible. I miss them all!
Absolutely awesome apartment complex! As a student, I have lived in 5 different places while attending UCF. Grandeville has by far been my best experience yet. Parking is plentiful. Other places I lived would require long walks to get to your apartment and I never had this issue at Grandeville. Maintenance was always timely and very nice. I got to know the maintenance people on a personal level and would shoot the breeze with them on a regular basis. Anytime I needed anything (leaking toilet and A/C fix) they were there within a couple hours and would have a great attitude about helping you out. The office staff is top notch. Dan was the most helpful that I dealt with. I only went in to talk to him when we signed the lease, and picking up a few packages throughout the year. Regardless, he always remembered my name, building, and apartment number. That says a lot about the staffs' commitment to their tenants! They have a very nice pool area that includes a rather large pool and hot tub. The pool deck also has two stainless propane grills that are open to residents to use. Makes for a great weekend hangout with friends. Grandeville is also pet-friendly. It seems like everyone has dogs, but rarely do I hear dogs barking. They also have a fitness trail that leads to a decent sized fenced in dog park so that is a nice feature as well. They encourage picking up after your dog, but provide stations with a garbage can and bags to make it very convenient. The only things I can think of that weren't so great about Grandeville was the fact that they have an automatic entrance gate that seems to break once a week, but that's kind of outside their control. They also have a gym that has pretty lousy equipment. All in all, I wish I would have chosen Grandeville 5 years ago so I could have just enjoyed the best apartments my whole time at UCF instead of moving to find something better every year.
The parking is very bad. If you do not have regular business hours of employment stay away, or prepare to walk across the complex to get to your apartment. Literally on the other side of the complex. My roof leaked for a month and half and is still leaking water. They have been very nice but unfortunately the staff has not been able to fix the leak. We are very concerned about mold and are calling the county to have it independently checked out as the response from the staff has been "that there is unlikely mold growth". It is not only a health hazard but a terrible eye soar for a "luxury complex". Also I was told to "rent a garage" by the office staff, if I have a problem parking, but that guests are on first come first serve basis. Stay far away form this complex, the maintenance staff are very nice. So If you want to live in an 800 dollar complex but charge much higher rent this is for you. Otherwise just look for an actual Luxury Complex, this is not even close
