Since the management changed in 2013, everything is going worse and worse. The staff is treating you as a bull-sheet. if you tell them something is not working, will take them forever to repair. It took them 5 days to fix the light in the kitchen. Not to take into account that during summer they decided to renovate the pools, both in the same time. It took them more than a month. Really, in summer.... to fix the pools. Besides, one of the pool is liking after renovation. The water is always running in order to keep the pool full of water. who is paying for this water?? WE!.
lived there 3 years ago, it was ok clean, i lived on the second floor and the floor was very weak, when you walked i got a sinking feeling and it was really uncomfortable for me as it felt like the room was on a slope. oh and my wife was robbed at gun point so i got the hell out of dodge. when i left i was professional and handed it back in a superior condition. to which i was still charged to havethe bathtub cleaned $30 bucks. its a good job i submitted the evidence of when i moved in to which that was waved. its managed by a company with lots of money so be ready to fight for every penny.
I've lived in a few different apartments while living in Houston, and I have to say Stonecrossing is the best one yet. It's not brand new (although they do keep it clean) but on the other hand, they really try to do things right, and they're incredibly personable. Their gates work, unlike many places. The complex is mostly quiet, and the staff do their best to accommodate requests. Maintenance is polite and they fix issues quickly, unlike every other place I've lived. Rent is reasonable, and reserved parking is available for a bit more. Most important, though, is the office staff. Yuki, Sarah, and Vanessa are all a pleasure to interact with. Unlike most apartments that treat you like an annoyance once the lease is signed, the management here is always warm and inviting when you visit. That alone makes a huge difference, and it shows true professionalism. There is an exercise room, and it's available 24/7 via key access. On the downside, there is not an actual mail drop here in the mailroom, which I found to be unusual. You can however leave letters and packages with the office, and if you sign a form, they'll accept packages from UPS/Fedex for you as well. You'll like it here. I know I do!
