well up until monday 12/2/14; it was okay. This apt complex is money hungry. I signed my new lease for the 2nd year to begin in Nov, in Sept I believe. My lease states that if you are late on your rent which will be on the 2nd day of the month; it is a $65 late fee and then $10 a day after. That's fine I agreed to that. Things and situations happen I'm fine with paying a late fee and whatever subsequent days after. HOWEVER they have changed their policy, in which I did not agree to when I signed my new lease to the following: 1st time late $65, 2nd time $75, 3rd time $85 and the 4th time $95 with the asterisk and of course $10 after the 2nd day. AND if you make your payment after the office is closed add another $10 for the next day. REALLY? First off what does *** after the 4th time late? Secondly, you mean to tell me that if I pay my rent ON TIME, but the office is closed; I have to pay a late fee? That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. What if the 1st falls on a Sunday then what? I'll be calling corporate and possibly and attorney because this isn't right. AND it wasn't on letterhead it was on a plain piece of white paper; typed up.
Very ugly and old apartment the manager should me, she was happy to lol. I kindly said no thank you and went to another place.
I will have lived at Pebble Point for one year in August. I came to Indy for law school. While I had a 20 minute commute to the downtown campus, the affordable rent made it well worth it (mine was around $500 per month for a one bedroom). The place was clean and felt fairly safe. It's off the beaten path and has plenty of nearby green space, a river, and several lakes near by which is great if you like to hike, fish, or go for leisurely walks. Jeri, the other girl in the office, and the maintenance guys all do a great job. I've really enjoyed my place this past year.
I have lived in Pebble Point for 2 years now. I really enjoy it. I love the lake, and the ducks and the geese. The pool is great in spite of some technical problems last summer. I have always gotten along fine with the office staff and have always been treated fairly. The maintenance crew has always made repairs to my apartment in a professional and timely manner. I wouldn't leave if I didn't have to due to a new job in another city. If I ever come back to Indy, I will come back to Pebble Point.
