I've done my 1 year stint here and moving out feels like being released from prison. I've regretted moving here entirely, and it is hands down the worst place I've ever lived (and I've lived in people's garages, so that's saying something). We lived in building 14, and the place REEKS of mold and mildew. The hallway carpets are DAMP regardless of weather, the basement with the ONE washer and ONE dryer is so ill kept that there's standing water, and your clothes are guaranteed to come out nastier than before you washed them. In our actual unit, there was an unsolvable moldy window issue, constant mice issues (thankfully we had cats, so they took care of what the management didn't), and the doors/doorways are so off kilter and old that there's always a breeze. If you move here, you can expect to pay, AT THE VERY LEAST, $110 a month for electricity (in a one bedroom) if you intend to remain semi-warm throughout the winter, and will need to wear a coat while cooking as the stove is next to the kitchen door. The level of professionalism and care from the staff has been pretty piss poor since Michelle left. Our move out paperwork asked for a day for a walk-through PRIOR to move out, but on the day agreed, they hemm haww and decide to only view it after the move out without letting us know until after we call asking what time they planned to come by. They spend all their budget making the grounds look semi-acceptable (yet somehow it's still covered in trash) and show you fancy model apartments to lure you in to blindly signing. I've learned my life lessons in renting from this place, and have acquired a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to apartments. I hate to finish a review, even a scathing one, negatively, so here's a positive: it's a great place to live if you're really poor and hate your life.
I've lived here for about 2 months and felt that the maintenance issue should be updated on these reviews. I had a laundry list of issues when I did my initial inspection before moving in. While the list wasn't handled overnight, within a month everything on the list had been taken care of. During the first month my AC stopped blowing cold air on a Friday afternoon. By Saturday the maintenance man had brought me over a temporary fix in the form of a portable AC unit that worked quite well. By monday they had brought me over, and installed, a new AC in place of the old one. They were quick to address my concerns and were very responsive to my request. I suppose the old saying "time will tell" could apply but unless things change drastically I don't see maintenance being an issue for the location moving forward.
This apartment complex has been neglected and they dont care as long as you lease an apartment, all they care about is numbers, the website for these units should be taken down it makes this place look so good but its really trash, there are roaches in all apartments and but unfortunalltly they are they only home some of us can afford since they are really cheap, also the kitchens are big, lots of closet space but alot of drug trafficing and apartments getting broken into. and the staff dosent do anythign about it JUST DONT WANT PEOPLE TO BE FOOLED, KNOW THE TRUTH BEFORE YOU GET STUCK IN A LEASE HERE....GOOD LUCK
Will show a nice model, but then give you crapy apartment with a messed up door. Be warned don't rent here. Not safe for children, electrical heater on floor, kids can stick the fingers and get burned. Just bad, my door looked like it had been broken into several times, and they're not responsible for theft.
