Don't let the photos fool you. I only lived there for three months and had consistent problems. My neighbor also consistently complained about the complex and has lived there shorter than myself. Within those three months I never once received a correct monthly bill and had to request a change in person multiple times for two of the bills. This was a complete waste of my time, especially after I had already corrected them before. The heater did not work. I was told from the staff that I could expect a temperature swing by as much as 10 degrees. It was either freezing or burning up with no in between. The dishwasher took hours to clean a load of dishes. The washing machine banged around so much that it actually damaged the walls and tore the vynil flooring. It was impossible to turn the TV up loud enough to drown the noise out. The walls were paper thin and I could actually hear every phone conversation my neighbor had and he wasn't even speaking loudly. Neither the living nor bedroom had ceiling lights so be prepared to buy a lot of lamps to light the place up. What's more is that the grounds continually flooded to the point that they have permanent sand bags around some apartments and use a pump to pump out water rather than fixing the storm drains. However, the most disappointing aspect was the final bill. I spent hours cleaning the place and re-cleaned everything I was asked to and was still charged additional cleaning fees. I was not invited to the final inspection but was charged for things Slate Ridge could not prove that I did. In fact, the final inspection sheet stated that the carpets were clean and they still charged me carpet cleaning fees. How ridiculous is that?! Overall, my stay at Slate Ridge was highly disappointing and I would not recommend that anyone stay there. No amount of free coffee can make up for what You have to put up with.
The management team here are kind, considerate and have wonderful attention to detail. We wanted to share our gratitude for them. Our most recent experience was that we had to put our beloved St. Bernard down due to a sudden and incurable illness. After coming home from a difficult trip to the vet, we noticed on our doorstep a potted plant and a card. It was a sympathy card for us and the whole team had signed it. This meant so much. More than we can say. This is a great place to live and we are grateful.
So far we love it here. They do a great job of keeping the complex looking beautiful. All the amenities are great and the front office is pretty good at responding in a timely manner. My only complaint would be the lack of good parking and the limited closet space inside the 2bd/2br townhouses. We plan to stay here until we purchase a home someday, this is the perfect place for our family!
We are current resident and are decently pleased with our experience so far. We live in 2bd 2bt town home and like the kitchen and bedrooms. Closets are small but it is expected in an apartment. Bathrooms can use some upgrade as far as tubs and shower go. We are pretty disappointed about parking situation. Some folks enjoy covered parking while some like us do not. When renting an apartment they should clearly mention that you will never get a covered parking. Our neighbors who moved in after us got covered parking even though we had requested to provide us with one when there is a spot available. For a pet friendly place, they should provide pet waste disposal stations. Every pet friendly apartment complex I have lived in or seen has these. Even the apartments across the street has them. The leasing office folks are very friendly and help you with any need. The folks who service the apartment are also awesome.
This Apartment is a trashed establishment placed in a painted paper bag masquerade. The interior of the apartments is absolutely horrendous. Not from the low quality appliances which can only be found at an apartment of this low quality, but due to the just wretched overall housing quality. I would not pay $750/Mo for this apartment. This is the kind of apartment where managements like to be big brother and breathe down your neck all the time. Make sure you don't turn your lights on at the wrong time here or you can expect a lot of complaints. They gave me a comply or evict notice because I had a bicycle under the stair well. Slate Ridge Prison Avoid at all costs ( seriously ).
