Upon moving out I have been charged close to 2000 in damages that were there to begin with or for little things that did not need replace. ie; light bulbs, door stops, etc. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. The leasing office will keep your deposit and charge you for things that you shouldn't have to pay for.
Everytime I go into the office with a problem there is a new manager if that says anything. They will scam you. they will argue with you. and when you ask to talk to their supervisor at ardent they will tell you they cant call them. so many negative things to list. not one positive. They force you to give a 60-day notice. 30 day is standard for ohio. once we are out of contract they want 929 for a month to month for an apartment we are leasing for 724. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING OWNED BY ARDENT PROPERTIES. show these scumlords that we as decent human beings just trying to get by will not put up with them.
On moving out, they did not refund any of my $700 security deposit, but also gave me a bill of another $700! They were renovating the apartment, changing the floor-boarding and carpets, and said this additional $700 was my "share" of the cost. I didn't know rental companies charge old residents for their renovations. Losing your entire security deposit is common at Sawmill Ravine, and being billed for additional renovations is also fairly common. When you need to speak with their management, they're hard to get a hold of. But when it comes to these unexpected bills, their legal and collections department is very active. They will scam you and use their legal department to intimidate you. We needed to install a satellite dish in our backyard but they wouldn't allow it.
