Ashley Jackson and I seem to have the exact same issue. I currently rent from Sable Ridge and have had NOTHING but horrible experiences. I have lived here for two years and in two different units. The first unit I lived in was a two bedroom town home. I have a Service Dog and an Emotional Support Animal as well. In the two bedroom town home, unbeknownst to me, the building was not level. At about 8am one morning, I awoke to the sound of jackhammers and the building shaking violently. Keep in mind that I am a Disabled Combat Veteran with the United States Army and awaking to this sent me into a fury and severe anxiety attack. There was no prior warning to me that this was going to happen. Had I known I would have planned. This happened for several days. As time progressed, parts of the townhome began to break as it was shifted during the re-leveling. I needed to downsize and moved into a smaller, one bedroom apartment of which I was quoted 679 a month for. I had signed paperwork for this price. As time got closer to me actually moving into this apartment, Brenda Mendez (the Assistant Manager) informed me that the apartment that I was moving into was upgraded and the rent would now be 50 dollars more a month. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I sucked it up because I had no other place to go. I move in.... the upgrade was a new stove... wow... As I remained in this unit, Staci Patterson, the Property Manager, began to start staring in my windows and trying to charge me for my dogs... who are not dogs, they are prescriptions. I had provided paperwork to Staci and she placed it into my file, yet was very angry about the fact that I had these dogs. They are a larger breed, and she informed me that I wasn't allowed to have them because of their size. This went on for several weeks until she backed off and would insist that I didnt pick up my dogs mess.... She has no proof of this and has since left me alone about it. My furnace, while staying here, has exploded, caught fire and nearly burned the place down. They have refused to replace this, only repairing it with parts that are made for other units as this furnace does not have parts for it anymore and is unable to be purchased anymore. I have had a leak from the Air Conditioning unit that has caused a hole to be eaten into the bathroom wall about fist sized. They have yet to repair that. Two weeks ago, they had tree trimmers come out and trim some tree branches and instead of warning tenants that this would be happening and to move their vehicles, I walked out to tree branches and limbs all over my 38,000 dollar car. I was livid. I was scared to say anything to the apartments as anytime I came to them with an issue, they would retaliate with threatening me about my animals. Today... I walked into the office and talked to Brenda. I informed her of a financial situation that would prevent me from moving out at the end of the month and to see how much it would be to pay a month to month rent for one month (I just lost my grandfather of whom had no one to pay for his funeral) She informed me that I could not extend because my dogs were too large and they have already rented the apartment out. I have NEVER received any paperwork saying that I would be unable to extend my lease. As a matter of fact, the lease it self requires me to provide a 60 day written notification for me to vacate the premise. I have provided them with no such letter. I am a Disabled Veteran who lives solely on my VA funds as i am unable to work due to my disabilities. I am out of options and out of patience with these people. I have no idea what I am going to do. I will be talking to the Better Business Bureau and my Congressman, Henry Cuellar.
I currently rent from Sable Ridge I had gotten a letter about my service dog and emotional support animal. When we were outside we ran into the lady who later turned out to be the manager. Later that night on July 6th after the run in we caught her peeking in our window. We informed her during the run in one dog was emotional support animal and the other was a service dog. She proceeded to ask me what disabilities the dogs treated and where the vest was. A few days later on July 20th we received a form saying we had to remove one dog and pay for the other. When I went in to talk to her she was very rude and said the fair housing act doesn't cover emotional support animals and the dog being over the weight limit and she knew their policy so we shouldn't have moved in. I left and came back 20mins later to provide her with the registry number and the law. When I provided her with the doctors documentation and the law she became very rude and then started accusing me of not picking up after her dogs and that I let the run "wild". She said she was going to charge me for this and damages to the property. We have been in the apartment for a month and no damages have happened. We also always bring a bag to pick up after the dogs. I said okay I'd like evidence of this and that you are not charging us the fees since it is against the law. She refused to give this to me. The lady that did this is the property manager named Stacy Patterson and we are waiting to her back from the company. This is illegal for anyone else having this problem with this property I used to be a leasing agent and we would never treat our residents like this.

Horrible apartments. Constantly battling cockroaches and is over priced for the quality of area. Most employees are nice but the manager is extremely rude. Please read other reviews before going anywhere near here.
Do not ever move here. Management does not care one bit about you or anything. It takes foreverrrr to get something fixed and theres always bugs everywhere. I think they may come through the vents. Its horrible. I once saw a bird come out through the vents. The place is just not good what so ever. finally moving out and i cannot WAIT!
