I do not plan on continuing my lease when it's up. The property just don't offer enough for what I'm paying. All they offer is a pool. The building I'm staying in door is broke. Everytime someone leave out it doesn't lock, so much for safety. I called the office and the lady Jennifer tried to tell me it's because of the weather. It looks like someone tried to force entry on the door. Well I know that the weather is not the issue. They claim that they are replacing some of the doors in some of the buildings but what if it's not my building. Also my water bill is very high running about $50 per month. When I moved in I wasn't told that I would be sharing this bill with the whole building and that my portion will be high because I have 3 people staying in my apartment. The staff seems to blow you off with some lame excuse when you call about things. And although the maintenance come pretty fast it's a half done fix when they repair things. Some of the things in these apartments need to be updated, very old and outdated light fixtures, the sliding door and windows. For what I'm paying I will look for more amenities and an updated look.
The apartments at Kensington Manor are not worth the price. They sucker you in with a special rate, but when the increase happens it's truly unbelievable. The yearly increase ranges are $50.00 to $100.00 a month. My 2 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom is now leasing at $1,045.00 a month. This amount does not include the additional $40.00 a month heating fee (that's paid year around) or the $35.00 monthly fee for water and trash. So, the grand total for this apartment is $1,120.00 a month. Kensington Manor cannot justify this amount for an apartment that's outdated with very little amenities. The unit has a small stackable washer and dryer and a non-grilling patio. My friend just moved into a townhouse in Novi for $1,050.00 a month. She has 3 levels, a private patio (grilling approved), full basement with a full washer and full dryer, 1 1/2 baths, and 3 bedrooms. I have had issues with neighbors smoking weed and cigarettes, dogs that bark all day long, neglected repair issues where I had to contact the corporate office, neighbors breaking into private storage areas, parking issues, bugs, and noise issues. Kensington Manor is too expensive for what they offer. I hope this post was helpful.
Great place to live! I just moved in last week and the staff could not be any nicer. I love my apartment and love even more that it has a washer and dryer inside. so hard to find in Farmington!
ok if you are on a budget
