The apartment itself was outdated and we were duped into paying for a garage that was small next to useless. The lease terms were ridiculous. Prices are high and if you need to cancel the lease prematurely you are severely penalized.
Please DO NOT rent from this organization! As a traveling Speech Pathologist, I take short term contracts in cities through out the United States and have never had such a disappointing experience renting an apartment. When we rented the apartment, we asked specifically regarding a 3 month vs. a 6 month lease and were told the 3 month lease would be too costly. If we, needed to move out earlier than 6 months (always a possibility as a traveler) then "Jen would work her magic" and find another renter. My contract was cut short due to hiring of a permanent SLP which was a great thing for the hospital. However, not a great thing for us as renter's at Madison the Wellington. As verbally expressed to us when we signed the lease, Jen did not "work her magic" to find a new renter and we were charged thousands of dollars to "buy out" our lease. Then a month after moving out and paying the thousands of dollars to this company, we have been sent a bill for $143 for move out charges and they said we had broken our lease!! I am not sure what the thousands of dollars was for if we "broke the lease"!! What a slap in the face! This might all be "legal" in the terms of the lease but as folks who care about others and who are conscientious about timely bill pay and honoring lease terms and taking care of other people's property, I am shocked at this type of treatment. Renter's Beware!!
Love our 1b1b, got it on special, & never struggle to find parking. We also enjoy the view of Silverdale lit up at night!
