Very welcoming teachers who strive for the success of their students. But with that said, their academic standards are O.K. They're not high yet not low. For those who succeed well in academics generally don't find it a challenge. I was one of those students and decided to attend Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) program. I will soon graduate MCTC with my Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts and my High School Diploma in spring 2016 simultaneously. Besides academics, South have a very diverse population of students. There are very minor tensions between students (not by race, but by clicks of friends). They also need more counselors. I wouldn't recommend this school if your student is looking for academic challenges. However, if your student or child is looking for a school that excels in arts and sports, this is my number one recommendation. Hopes this helps! holy wow this place is awful. feels like i'm in a max security prison.

I'm a parent of a 10th grader @ south high school :).... I have only been at the school a few times, and one to go to the office. Very big and scary place (and im a parent ) you have to check-in with a poluce officer. thier office is at the middle of the school :-/ . Very crazii. This place reminded me of a HOOD school out of the movies just missing the metal didectors wow. Very unsereal experience to say the least. I feel very frustrated for my 10th grader he has to be there daily :-( ..... Wish i could send him elsewhere but only school. in distract w/openings

Pretty boring and a very ugly building too.

I heard things about it I went to two other high schools in Washington state. instead guest I was lucky unlike my 2 sisters who dropped out.
