I just got done talking with one of the Agents at Chesapeake Commons Apartments and his name was Elliot, I think but just one of the most genuine best customer service quality's I love about a person. I had called because of the ad that was listed on Craigslist and I wanted to get some information about there bonds program which is a great idea for someone who has limited income and just moving out here from another state. I feel like this is the place for me. That call that I made today and the Agent name Elliot was the best Marketing customer service person. We need people like him to not only sell but to have knowledge about what there selling you and with good customer service. I'm so looking forward for my appointment with them next week because just seeing the pictures the call that just blew me away. Made me a happy customer. Thank You. Catherine L.
Don't rent from this place. Upon moving out we did a walk through, and were told the place was clean, but might need to clean the carpet even though they could tell it had been cleaned. When we got all of the paper work that they sent about our $850 deposit we were informed that we owed them $49.30. They kept my entire deposit and then want to charge me for a clean apartment. In the paper work they gave us back there was an unsigned, or dated walk through showing needing heavy cleaning. The guy who did my walk through assured us that the place was clean did not have the sheet, or even a pen for that matter. I went and talked to the finance person and have never dealt with someone so arrogant, and obnoxious. The woman did nor or would not listen to a word that I had to say. Run away from this place or you too can get screwed over leaving the apartment clean.
This is the first time I ever leave a negative feedback to anyone. but I have to at this time. The staff are very nice and professional, but the firs thing I want to let everyone know, most of the days you wont be able to sleep, becouse people are having party in their patios until 3am, they can hang out at the pool until 3am and be very loud, even there is a security in the nights, but still.... my contract is a 6 months lease, and my rent going up twice a year each time $80-90, almost $200 a year. There is no rent control. I want to apologize for my negative feedback, but as I said first time in my life I have to let the people know about this place.
the apartment itself is ok. the complex is a little ghetto but its so huge you never have to see anyone. FIRST off my girlfriend and I moved in back in 2010-2011 I believe. When an apt opened up we went and looked at it and it wasn't finished but the lady who showed it to us said the high traffic area in front of the door needed to be cleaned again and they didn't paint the accent wall. We picked a color from their samples and finished up paperwork. we were supposed to move in 3 days later so we rented a u-haul and loaded everything up the night before. We show up to move in the day and time we were told and the apt was not ready, they offered us another apt upstairs by the pool. we declined. now this put us in the "do we keep the truck loaded for another and pay for another day" or move into this apt we didnt want by the pool that will be loud? so we went to go look and see what needed to be done in our first apt. nothing was done at all, we were the last people to be in it 3 days before. so out of pure we really don't have another choice we just said screw it we'll take it like this and send somebody over to paint in the next couple days so we can unpack. they wall never got painted and the carpet never got cleaned. When we did the walk through I marked every tiny spec the human eye could see top to bottom wall to wall. i ran out of room to mark things. the carpet and wall were noted also. good to go. me and my girlfriend breakup and I move out a few months before the lease is up but still helped with the bills and I was still spending time and the night there occasionally. When she moved out she had all her sisters and I come and help clean. it wasn't very hard because we kept the place fairly squared away. the kitchen was the biggest problem which it always is with most. We left the place looking better then we got it. So apparently this is how they get their bonuses or have a hustle where they take all of your deposit and say it was uses to clean the entire apt because of the mess then do another inspection and tell their boss its good to go no cleaning needed and pocket the money. I read another review just now that says pretty much the same thing. out apt never got painted or carpet cleaned, so whos deposit was that before us that never got used? my girlfriend was informed that we actually OWED THEM MONEY because they had to steam clean the walls and replace the carpet...seriously a joke. To take the entire deposit and say we still owe is a mystery to me. my girlfriend after moving out into another apt on the same street said she talked to the lady there and worked something out. apparently she didnt write down or forgot to note about the wall and carpet. THE REASON WHY IT WASNT READY FOR US THAT MORNING. my GF told me that the lady told her it would be taken care of. NOPE! whatever she did or did not do still left us a balance that got forwarded to some collection agency. I just found this out a few weeks ago...from 2011 Responsibility Individual Account. Balance $192 High Balance $140 Remarks Consumer disputes this account information absolutely I do. what a rip off. someone there was or is running a scam and ruining peoles credit and I didnt even know about it.
Been here a little over 2 months. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are acceptable. Especially love the dog park. Quiet neighborhood so that's cool. The apartment is very spacious but as said previously "upgraded" appliances is simply a new microwave. On our move in date our apartment was not ready as the counter tops were not resurfaced as they were supposed to be so that was a bit of a disappointment. It is a nice community in a very convenient location. I'm sure there are better for $1,000 a month but I'm also sure their are worse and we are happy. Also, Chad is very helpful and responsive so that is a big positive for us. All in all we are happy here for now.
