WORST apartment ever~ our apartment & car got broken in. We asked leasing office to fix the gate and close the gate, but they just ignored our request! They pretended nth happened and still not taking any action,. They don't even care if someone will break in our apartment in the midnight and if we will get raped I wish i could just leave 0 star ! Also, i have never seen any security in our community ! Don't live here ! You are just risking your safety ! WORST community ever and ever!!! Especially their community manager , Dora ! Not responsible at all SHITTY PLACE ! do not come !
I've lived here going on 4 years. I live right off Nogalas (so it's incredibly loud), but generally, it's been fine. It could stand to be upgraded a bit, (it would be fantastic to get as many of those minor issues, I've listed below, resolved) which would drastically improve the quality of living here. TBH, I've given up about contacting the apartment about repairs -- but maybe I'll revisit that in the near future. Please take care in selecting your unit! Some of the units are in better condition than others. Take a moment to check out some of the issues I've listed below, and get these fixed before you move in so that your stay will be more comfortable (especially for the price you'll pay for rent here) Here are some issues/cons: - the patio, window, and 2 A/C units aren't properly insulated. In fact, you can see a space between the A/C unit and the wall, which is a problem for spiders (during spring time). - my deck/balcony wasn't properly built. They used nails and not screws! Thus, the nails lift up over time or when the wood swells from the heat. Plus there are spaces in-between the wood slats, so leaves and debris will fall right down onto my neighbor's area -- this must be so incredibly annoying for them to have dirt, leaves and debris rain down on their furniture or them. - I also have structural problems during the summer where my door frames become misaligned preventing me from closing doors properly and it makes locking my front door a pain. - I need to have them check the nails holding down the carpet, right next to the wood laminate floors - they've lifted up and no amount of hammering them back down resolves this (again they used nails and not screws). Plus the floors are uneven, you can feel it as you walk around. - some of the cabinet doors were improperly installed and they cracked the wood allowing the hinges to fall out. (which means your cabinet doors will fall out!) - the over the stove air vent blows back into the apt, and not through the roof! They have a fake vent in the cabinet right above my stove...so annoying! - the plumbing - if you don't have a water divert-er problem, you'll notice the lack of water pressure, which is pretty horrible. - That gate off Nogalas is ALWAYS broken, I'm not sure if people are running into it or messing with it, but it's constantly broken which is a huge bummer. Maintenance tries to keep it repaired, but it's been broken now going on 3 weeks. Pros: - the landscaping is nice - I have two A/C units, so I can simply use the one in the room to stay cool at night which helps save on my electricity bill. - Apartment has high ceilings (if you live on the second floor) - Apartment has a lot of storage space, and a storage room on the balcony or outside (which is nice) - Apartment Area has covered parking for tenants (at least one spot), and they have a lot of open spots. I liked the prior management, but their maintenance crew was pretty undependable. This complex is under new management (which took over about 6 months ago). My interactions with current management has been good so far - however they're new and they've removed a lot of the automated systems that the previous management had in place (mostly for submitting payment, submitting maintenance requests via a resident portal). I wish they would re-instate the resident portal - or even provided an email to submit questions/maintenance requests. I've also noticed, that they struggle to keep up with schedules or making appointments and don't log resident interactions, so if you've been speaking with a specific individual, you'll need to make sure you contact that person. I haven't called upon their maintenance. I hope this helps!
The apartments are fairly average. Landscaping is kept pretty nice, but the pool is often in use by children, and the weight room is only open limited hours. Also some of the equipment is not repaired or actually checked on a regular basis. While everything looks nice, you really need to check out the actual apartment you are going to move in to, before you sign a lease. We were given a different apartment than the one they originally showed us and said would be ours. Carpet was older, and within the first month we had numerous issues with the bathrooms. Maintenace was not quick when we called, and one time they didn't eve show up the day they said they would. For the money, it is "OK". Best thing about it is the Central A/C.
very serene environment with lots of trees. I just don't like the fact that the tub and bathroom sink are reglazed. in the long run you have to be careful with what you place on the surface because it will leave an eye sore of a stain. overall great place to call home.
The good: - Neighborhood is nice - Neighbors are nice - Parking is excellent - Nice grounds The bad: - Charged us 1000 dollars on move out for new carpeting because of urine stains! I never had a single animal in that house, and I highly doubt that myself or significant other ever urinated on the carpet in our own house. What a load a crap. - Charged us 300 for a "burnt out microwave" that I used the morning I moved out! It was a brand new microwave and was working perfectly. Also if I would have been living in my home at the time that it had "burnt out" they would have replaced it at no charge. - I dropped off my cable box, modem, and remote at the Waterstone front desk on move out, called the cable provider and had an associate schedule a pick up. Now the cable provider, and Waterstone is claiming they never received it! I guess it just vanished at the front desk. $250. The bottom line, if you think you can deal with the move out bull s**t and feel that you have sufficient proof when Waterstone faxes you 2 pages of lies and a bill for 2000 dollars on top of your 500 deposit. Be my guest. Oh yea, and if you feel like asking to see any type of proof for lets say, urine stains, or a burnt out microwave, I can guarantee you they "have none", "They lost the paperwork", and "We threw away" all the proof. I guess Waterstone is in the business of cheating tenants that are never late on the rent, and never have a complaint, out of their hard earned money. Good luck!
