My car was broken into during my stay because the gates are ALWAYS OPEN, why even have them? When they finally close, the remotes don't work. When the remotes don't work you are put on a waiting list. Then you are never notified of their arrival. My bathroom sink has stunk since the day I moved in, I have made many service requests and they have not fixed it. After 9 months of complaints they have yet to fix my washer and dryer, leaving me to wash clothes twice before they are clean and twice before they are dry. Which means that I spend more of my hard earned cash to pay for the wash. OMFG I JUST REALIZED I PAID MORE FOR THIS APT BECAUSE IT HAD A WASHER AND DRYER YET THEY DO NOT WORK TO THIS DAY. The internet in the study is always down. The staff isn't as courteous as they used to be. The pool is great! Though there's always kids to pee in it. There's dirt all over the BLDG 15 Staircase, come now and check it out. It's always there. Been this way for months. There's really only 5 employees who are actually worth a sh*t, and they are composed of the maintenance crew. The facilities are decent, from what I hear I can get a bit more for a little less. The ONLY reason I am still living here is because it is literally 2 minutes away from work. But there are apartments across the street which would mean I don't have to stop by two stop signs before going to work. Those apartments are a little more, and I'd rather wait until my lease is up to switch. I started with nothing but good things to say about these apartments but they are dwarfed by the bad. Ok I lied, there is one person in the staff that is actually really really cool. She's not new and she's not the head honcho. You know who you are :) All in all, I was going to give this apt a 3 star review, yet.. it is extremely undeserving of a single star when I factor in the amount of money I could have saved paying a little more down the street at Springs of Indian Creek.
Really enjoyed my stay here in 2013. The folks at the front desk remembered me and checked to make sure that I was enjoying the complex every couple of months. Easy access to 35E due to a free ramp on 121. When I had to move out of state, they were very accommodating in my lease breaking process. I would live here again if I were brought back to this part of Texas!
Absolutely loved this community. I lived there from Jan 2009-March 2010 and the only reason I left was because I was laid off from work. The property was extremely well maintained, the office management was always nice to me and very responsive. My apartment was exactly as advertised, and at the time was 10 years old but still looked brand new, it was well worth the rent. The surrounding area was a dream! The apartments are next to a residential area and so it was always quiet, safe and clean. Even though the property is right off two major freeways there was never any congestion or excessive traffic along our street. A plus is you are surrounded by every modern convenience known to man. Shopping, groceries, car wash, library, fast food, gas. As another reviewer mentioned it truly is one of those places that you really couldn't appreciate until you moved....the apartments I live in now are nice but they don't hold a match to the Meridian. My only complaint about living there was my noisy upstairs neighbor but that really isn't a reflection of the apartments.
The Meridian is a place that I didn't miss until I left it...sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone. THE STAFF was always courteous, responsive, professional. They understand that though it is their job, it's your life, so they move quickly to resolve issues. The maintenance team was always prompt...the only issue I ever had was with my Microwave and they replaced it within 2 days of being notified. The grounds were always well-kept, and they are constantly investing money in keeping the property well-maintained. In the little over 2 years that I lived there, I watch them repaint the entire property and carports, completely redo the workout room with new equipment, add a dog park, and when I was moving out, they were redoing the roofs on all of the buildings. These types of upgrades show that they really care about the property and its longevity. The only reason I moved was to be closer to where I work, but The Meridian was a great apartment rental experience. I moved to the city relocating from North Carolina, so it was great to come into a quiet, peaceful and beautiful environment with no issues. It's not brand new, and it's not super expensive, so you won't get all new appliances or hardwood floors or marble countertops...but if you're looking to live well in an environment that is quality and comfortable...look no further than the Meridian. With all of the upgrades they're doing, it wouldn't surprise me if they did have all new appliances and remodeled units very soon!
Horrible customer service, rip off rental rate. Over all HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
