Meth dealers live in the buildings and have clients constantly driving through the lot..there's rumor of property staff being their meth clients..as well you will pay full months rent even when in the fault of the complex. I moved in and had a minor leak second week living in the apt. The leak turned to my entire ceiling being torn down and un repaired for 4 months. I'm currently still waiting to move my living room back into its rightful spot.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE and sad because they lie to tenants to keep them "in line "...specifics say there is a gym onsight.. NOPE..and the pool...GOODLUCK. .please talk to tenants before speaking with property management
This place was not the best to live in. When my family and I first moved in they seemed like nice places. After a couple of months, we realized they weren't as nice as they seemed. We figured out that there was mold in several places around our apartment, which gave all of us health issues that we are still dealing after over a year of not being there anymore. We had gotten word that there were dogs who lived in that apartment that had carried parvo, which caused the death of several of our animals. There was a man there that kept hitting on me and my friend, who were both minors at the time. The pool was constantly being shut down because of dirt and muck. There was a time it was even vandalized, around a time they were working on the parking lots. Somebody had put construction cones and a ton of rocks inside the pool. There was a ton of broken glass in the parking lots, even though there were small children running around. We had issues with several things in our apartment other than the mold. There were times our facets wouldn't work our sink would start to overflow. We had problems with the heating system. We reported it several times and nobody came to fix it. We finally talked to the head maintence guy and he did. In my friends apartment they had an issue. They water from the shower and the toilet in the bathroom above theirs was leaking into their bathroom. They had several issues with that, including their ceiling falling apart and black mold starting to develop. Their bathroom was that way for about three weeks before anybody did anything. We got notices several times that the rent was due and was late, just the day after we paid. We got a notice saying that if we didnt leave in three days, we would be evicted. So we left, and the manager at the time had sent it in to corporate that we had been evicted, before we even moved out. Then we were charged thousands of dollars for damage that wasn't even there. They said we left five trash bags, there were about two in a half. They charged us for carpet damage that wasn't there. They said we owed them thousands of dollars in that alone, which wasn't true. They said that we had left a large mess, but we hadn't. We cleaned that place and other than the trash, it looked better than when we got there.
Just a bad place, walked in and they where packing up my belongings, wrongful eviction . Called the police and the officers can't even make contact with staff, when they where to be open. Went to see where's my belongings are, Tearra the manager said it was in the dumpster . Yeah right !! MBP is the owner the was contacted and no reply. TRUST THE POST...
The management and staff changed a few months ago and the people in the office now are so mean that it's comical. It's like they are being paid specifically to be as awful as possible to people. If it isn't being rude when you pay your rent (on time) it's being sarcastic and snotty when asking general issue questions about your property. Half the time you can catch the worst one (the blonde) in the office complaining about tenants and talking about how she's going to get them back for whatever has her angry that particular hour. The apartments are fine, but dealing with such awful people on a regular basis is making me move further away from my job to downtown. I'd rather ride an extra bus than get treated like a piece of human garbage for paying my rent.
Originally I posted a one star rating for the complex because my husband and I had been dealing with noisy neighbors for several months. It seemed for a while that nothing was getting done with the noise complaints. But as my husband kept telling me, be patient and stay calm. Perseverance worked, and soon we won't have the issues with the noise anymore. If you do have noisy neighbors, just make sure to try to document when they are being loud and how often they are being loud. Having proof will hold up much better than just a he said-she said situation. However, the safety is still a big concern for the complex. The parking lot is very dark at night, especially right around the first entrance into the parking lot. It is very difficult to see when people are crossing the parking lot, so you have to be careful when driving in and out. We've also had our vehicles broken into on two separate occasions. And we've heard multiple gun shots in the residence over the course of our lease. It does seem like management is trying hard to fix up the place. I've noticed most of the problematic neighbors have moved out. Apart from our noisy neighbors, we've never had any other issues with any of our other neighbors, so I'm grateful for that. Some Pros: The views are great from our apartment. Walking to our place, we get to see Garden of the Gods. Some apartments are angled so you have a view of the mountains. Its also a quick shot to the interstate and shopping.
