We loved living here. Both the front desk staff and maintenance staff were great. Walls thick enough so not to be bothered by neighbors (even with all having dogs). Only possible complaint I can have is the dog park sometimes got muddy and the gate broke a few times but I was just so happy to have a dog park for our dog, it was very convenient. A lot of military and/ or families.
Amazing location. Convenient too! You honestly couldn't ask for a safer area. Neighbors are very kind and pleasant to talk to. Biggest problems were massive spider infestation that was never addressed within the 6 months I stayed - I did, twice, report this to the office. Got bitten several times. The other big problem is office staff. The woman who sold me on a single bedroom was the sweetest thing - she was the flower of Banyan Grove (fitting I know, applaud me later) - it was their initial customer service that brought me to Banyan. After that, she was nowhere to be found. We, my partner and I, had the extreme displeasure of dealing with a woman whose name I won't mention to be professional....but it rhymes with Resiree. Don't let that stop you - but if management is everything to you - by all means keep shopping around. Oh and their maintenance staff is super nice - very kind and sincere and gets the job done QUICK. Tip: make sure whenever you do anything with Banyan Grove, it is always in writing.
Besides having a horrible experience, we received a very random call from collections today (over half a year since moving out). We are homeowners, have excellent credit, and have never, ever been to collections prior till the notice we received today. Did I mention it's the first notice that we have received that we owe money to Banyan Grove and that they have our new address and our numbers have not changed? Why weren't we notified? Needless to say, we are in collections for over 1,000 dollars. Why? We left the apartment cleaner than it was handed to us! I'm not worried about this situation as it seems from previous reviews that its an easy fix because the amount of complains on the Better Business Bureau of Banyan Grove's fraudulent actions and lack of informing. The reason I'm really writing this is to stop you from being the next victim in this corrupt new management. I'm surprised this place hasn't gone down to a two star yet. Banyan Grove has so much potential but the property manager is just about the worst kind of human you can encounter. I'm here to stop you before you get fooled into how nice the community LOOKS. Looks can be so deceiving. Stay away! Don't be the next victim. Did I mention that they steal from peoples apartments and it's not frowned upon? Besides hearing stories from many that lived there, I had an experience of my own. As we were moving out on our last final days (lease was NOT up yet), the maintenance team went into our apartment, left all lights on, and went through our boxes! They didn't even try to hide it; our things were thrown around everywhere, I kid you not, I have pictures. After denying taking these actions they finally admitted that they did go in because they thought everything left was "trash". Yeah, just trash my flat screens, PS4 and video games, no worries. There was a few missing valuables but we honestly were just ready to move on with our lives that we didn't even bother fighting it. Not like the property manager would have done anything anyway, she didn't see anything wrong with her employees walking into a apartment without consent of the leasee. I cannot emphasize more how horrific living here has been. The property manager showed much hatred toward my family even my children sensed it, it really broke my heart when my son brought it up to us. My last few months there were very harsh. Just avoid this place at all cost.
I've lived here almost a month and I love it! The landscaping is well maintained and beautiful. I feel very safe. The location is amazing because it's close to everything. It has one of the most well kept pools I've seen in an apartment complex, very clean and gets a lot of use from residents. The fitness center has all the equipment you need and it's up to date. Lastly, it's very pet friendly and mostly all the dogs are well behaved too. I love my new home!
The maintenance was there within 15 minutes when we had a problem; the grounds were immaculate; the office staff was friendly and responsive; neighbors were nice and respectful, and it was very pet-friendly with a bark park and several dog runs.
