Let me start off by saying DO NOT LIVE HERE. The best way to describe this community is imagine you have diarrhea and you take a dump in a toilet bowl full of glitter - it may look shiny & fancy, but underneath it's still a massive, steaming pile of $#!T. A few specifics: The walking gates never lock/work. They claim it's a "gated community" but even Hellen Keller could walk right up in this thing, easy peasy. The parking garage gates never work. They're either wide open or shut and the underground sensors never work so I'm forced to rock my car back and forth for 10 minutes praying somebody is leaving so it'll open from the inside. I've actually had to talk to the leasing office about this on THREE separate occasions and they still can't seem to get it right. CONSTANT CONSTRUCTION starting at a firm 8am. I signed my lease a month prior to my move-in date, so you would assume they'd have taken care of any necessary repairs prior to me moving in. WRONG! We were forced to vacate our unit (which we paid for) for 10 hours - uncompensated of course, and had repair men inside our unit for the rest of the week. They now have the hot tub closed for over 2 months (also uncompensated) and have ruined our view with these extremely ugly 8 foot tall fences. Different rules apply to different tenants - we were told we are not allowed to have anything hanging outside in our patio area, yet I know of at least 8 different units with items affixed. When I spoke to the leasing office about this her response was "well that side of the community is not my responsibility". That's the type of answer I'd expect from a 5 yr old, not a Community Manager Professional. There's some other, less major things, but I think I've made my point... So again, let me end with - DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Don't walk RUN away from this Sh**hole, the management is the WORST. They are corporate programed monkeys that read off of response sheets put together by some idiot in their corporate office. THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ANY PROBLEM LARGE OR SMALL, ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY IS ON THEIR MIND..........MONEY AND LOTS OF IT! THIS WILL BE THE WORST DECISION YOU HAVE EVER MADE, DO NOT LIVE HERE!

My wife and I lived here for 6 months and we had an issue with bed bugs. The community management staff did not do anything about the bed bugs for THREE WEEKS. It is obvious that they do not care about the tenants and are only concerned about collecting the rent. I would advise staying away from this community AT ALL COSTS.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. IF THE DESCRIPTION WERE ACCURATE IT WOULD READ:

I uploaded my photos from black mold caused by the maintenence team and they tried to ignore it for a month. One picture shows the mold flower groing out of the floor and we had to catch dripping water from our kitchen ceiling. Really, save yourself a headache.

If it was possible to make a 0 review i would do it! I've regreted living there it since the first month. To make you sign the leave and justify their high prices, they will sell you all the facilities and all the help you will have but once you ve signed you'll start to see the real avalon. It s very noisy, people are not very nice nor helpful. Suroundings are dirty and nobody cares about dogs pooping near (not to say on) your patio or countless emptied bottles left by the crazy teenagers because of who you couldn't sleep the day before. I also have a cat and she never goes outside. So explain me how in less than a month living there she was covered of fleas?! Security is very low (my bike was stolen right on my patio) but the biggest problem i had was to terminate my lease. I had to come back to my country in an emergency because of my father's death and couldn't come back due to the huge amount of things i had to deal with back home. If you need help from them, just don't count on it! during one month i tried to terminate my lease (be careful cause if you leave before the end of your lease date they charge you A LOT of money) and tried to find a solution for the money i owe them (only 18 days and started to deal with this way earlier than the due date) but i absolutely had no answer other then, this is not our policy, please take contact with our customer care center (until one point you really start to think you're talking to an answering machine...well they're good sales people). And obviously the customer care center does not answer!!! So, i kept sending them emails and emails (easy for them, i wasn't in the US) until one day i discover the file was gone to a lawyer... i had to ask a friend from the us to co-sign the lease i could move in..well then they abviously started to make him some problems...and it s not finished In my opinion, Avalon is only trying to get the more money that can from people without really caring and will take any opportunity to do that. please DON T EVER LIVE THERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!
