Bugs (even after exterminator came), overpriced, loud freeway, old buildings, rude un-professional office staff, nearly impossible to park, had no hot water for a week and we weren't reimbursed, they told us it was our fault for not asking for an alternate water source during hot water fiasco (even though we called maintenance four times), the office number won't connect to my phone, someone tried to break in today and now our door won't close. I can't contact the damn office because they're closed & have no emergency phone line. Guess I'll be sleeping by the open door with a weapon tonight. Thanks.

Guys am re-posting this because my review was hidden , Am not sure how that happened ? Yelp Administration, Requesting you please don't hide my review, it's 100% truth and people have so much faith on yelp review. I don't want innocent people face same problem what i faced. Though requested yelp administration not to hide my review but still they are hiding, so am posting on google to aware people. My review is not on the property or community itself but the leasing office staff attitude. Based on our experience, I would NEVER want to live at a place like this and I want to warn others who may be contemplating a move here. Had decided to lease an apartment in Park West because of my kid to get community to play and kindergarten though i knew community having so many loop holes like cockroach, roaches, rats, blah blah... Visited community and found one property look good and leased in Month of Dec and move in date was mid Jan and informed to my current apartment leasing office regarding move out and all settlement stuffs. Suddenly got call from Park west leasing office on Dec 28th , was out of town with family due to long holiday and it's informed to me , people are not vacating the property given to you. Have to choose another property and also provided date need to change due to unavailability of property in my move-in time. The great park-west leasing staff office didn't care , how i will accommodate those days & where will stay by having family with small kid. Visited leasing office once back from vacation and after long discussion with great park-west leasing staff signed another property with move in day Jan end and clearly said them , please make sure you are not changing this apartment. In mean time had to extend 5-6 days in my current community and paid monthly basis. When it was asked to park-west leasing office staff, who will be paying extra money whatever mess created by you guys, just got simple answer " sorry we can't do anything"... so is it my fault to lease house more than 1 month advance and paid what ever you guys said even Jan month rent. Anyhow thought let's hope for best and move to park-west by end of jan...Again suddenly got call from park-west great leasing staff on Jan 9th, informed me that people are not vacating the property leased to you, you have to choose another property, is it a joke...bullshit...???? Then thought enough is enough & went next day met Great Park-west so called manager...she said we ll be providing another property and we are favoring you...for god sake..how can you say ..you are favoring me???...have any idea what went through with me...still i asked what ever property you are offering me..can you guarantee..that's not going to be changed..she said..am sorry i can't promise you anything....what the hell.., is it my fault what mess created by you guys...Didn't had patience to get more surprise and canceled the lease and today am happy what i did... Management and their behavior worst... So guys before moving to Park-West be careful & Good luck !!!

Worst place I have ever lived. It's overpriced for what it is. The staff said that there weren't any roach or vermin problems, but my roommates and I have been struggling with cockroaches. They do offer free extermination, but we already had them spray and now we are finding more than before they sprayed. Our apartment is clean, so the leasing office claims they are coming up the drain in the bathroom for water. There are other bugs here too, but not as gross in my opinion. I have found plenty of spiders and even some silverfish in our apartment. The parking here is also terrible. I have two roommates and we share a three bedroom apartment to make it affordable, but they only give us two parking spots. They claim that there is a waiting list for additional parking, but I don't know why that would matter since we signed up 5 months ago and still haven't heard anything about getting another spot. They also have allow you to park in front of the leasing center and in unused carports that they list online, but these fill as fast as the street parking. If you have to park here don't plan on finding a parking spot after 7pm. I am counting down the days until my lease ends and I can move out.

I am from UCI. I love Parkwest, it is close to school and cheaper than other places. However, i just moved out last month, i just got a clearing fee for $700+. We were three engineers who live together, we maintained the apartments very well, we never make any mass, we had no pet, no smoke not even a party in the past whole year.... yes i know, our life suck. anyway, the wall is as good as when we moved in,for some reason they told me that they need to re paint all the wall which cose $210 and all tiles that cost an other $200+. we never wear shoes when we walk in the apartments once. how can they even change the floor and repaint the wall. i took a little video before i move out, i hope i can pose it to show it. we will find a time going to the office and talk to them

It's a good community, the management is good, the maintenance is always done on time and properly. Plenty of pools, parks, the clubhouse is nice, gym is open 24/7, parking can be a hassle if you have a lot of people in your apartment or a lot of cars (2 cars or less = great parking), the property is well maintained and always green, laundry facilities at every corner, it's a pretty decent place. The only issue I had was that the buildings are so old there isn't air circulation in every room, there's a central AC in the living room and that's about it. The walls and popcorn ceiling have asbestos and the management wouldn't produce paperwork proving that it was lead free so that was a little sketchy. It's a good location though, near the freeway, shopping centers, bus stops, and UCI. It's not a bad area, the buildings are just really old and need upgrading. The units are completely spacious, we had more than enough space and it never felt cramped. There can be bug issues because there are crickets everywhere.. I really liked the community events they had, the hominess of the place, the greenery, the kids running around and having fun, and how there's never a noise issue. It's a very personal and professional place and living here has been a great pleasure for me.
