It's definitely not the display home that they shown me. The exterior of the buildings have extensive damage to them. There is also 2 section 8 housing developments nearby. A lot of riffraff during the night.I lived in the city of St. Louis for two years, and had no incidents. I have lived at Taravue Park for two months, and my car has been broken into. When I made a report with the police, the police stated it has been a lots of theft in this area. Since it happened on their property, I go through their renters insurance they required me to get, and get railroaded. Pure bureaucratic nonsense. That insurance, Epremium is a joke. They require you to ensure for $300,000! And it's all going to the owners pockets The only good thing about this place is the location. I'm looking forward to breaking my lease and finding a better place to live
Lived here 5 weeks...more than I expected...Fairly low rent, great amenities, grounds are spotless, Mgmt Team very friendly and most of all, the location is great...everything you need normally within 1/2 to 5 miles away...Great choice if your looking for an idea situation...
VERY BAD, IM HAVE WEATHER DANAGE FROM APARTMENT OVER ME, MAINTENANCE SERVICE COMING AFTER 2 DAYS AND TELL ME IT'S JUST FROM RAIN.....VERY BAD
I would not ever recommend anyone to even consider living here. My boyfriend and I moved in here during October of 2012 and the first few months were complaint free (even though we were promised an apartment looking over the pool area and didn't find out we were getting an apartment overlooking the government housing until the deposit was paid and it was the move in day). We had a couple problems with our door not shutting and locking properly and with our dishwasher leaking water and they were fixed relatively quickly. Just recently is when the real problems began. It began when we noticed that groups of people living in the government housing were hanging out in our parking lot, parking their cars there, and even using our pool. It even went as far as someone putting some sort of shaving cream under my car door handle. It got worse when I came home from work one night when a group of teen girls who live in government housing were walking back from our pool (that WE pay for, NOT them) started harassing me, yelling profanities and asking me if I wanted to fight. I am currently 9 months pregnant and have no interest in involving myself in conflict with a group of girls that I am defenseless against. Needless to say, I headed straight to my apartment and locked my door. But it gets worse! My boyfriend was 3 days late in dropping off the rent check, which has never happened in our time here at all (accidents happen - things slip our minds!) and they decided to charge us a fee of $25, even though there is a grace period before the rent is considered late. They sent us a notice, which was originally sent to the wrong apartment so unfortunately our neighbors got it before us. My boyfriend decided he was not going to pay such a ridiculous fee for a 3 day late check. At the end of the next month, they called and told us that we had a balance of nearly $200 for the late rent. We were not aware that they charged interest because the original notice did NOT state that. The lady at the front desk said she called and left numerous messages, which is all untrue. Neither of us have any messages on our phones regarding this incident. IT GETS WORSE! About two weeks ago, a squirrel died underneath a car of a older gentleman that doesn't drive his car but once every couple of weeks. We thought for sure maintenance would handle it appropriately, but alas, two weeks later and several phone calls from us and surrounding neighbors, the squirrel is rotting with flies and insects crawling all over it. I have to plug my nose each time I step outside because the smell of the rotting carcass is PUTRID. Every time we call about the issue they insist they will take care of it, but never do! I am currently on maternity leave so I have been spending a lot more time at home and I see the maintenance men drive by on their golf carts every day and do nothing about the dead animal. Between noisy neighbors waking us up from their house parties at 4:30 in the morning, dead animals, and harassment from other complexes, this is a terrible place to live. The walls are thin, things break easily, and the front desk is anything but concerned about our comfort and safety. We can't WAIT to get out of this place!!
When I was speaking with the woman in leasing she asked me what floor I would prefer to be on, and because I'm a vet on disability, I told her the bottom level, which I got thankfully. I have to say that they have been very helpful and so far no issues here. I, unlike some of the recent people who posted on here, won't tolerate people who are rude and disrespectful, especially if they don't live in the complex. If anything like that happens I can handle it, there's no need to complain to management about that because there is nothing they can do. As for the moving out inspection, I plan on taking pictures of everything, literally everything!! That's what the former tenants should have done in the first place. I have definitely seen worse for more money!! So all in all, it's a good place to live. Rent isn't bad and neither is the location. I like the place it's cozy and affordable.
