Steer clear, this place is only trouble. I am not sure who will read this message, but at this point my wife and I had enough! We moved here from Phoenix a few months ago and since then it's just been bad news. First my vehicle was towed from the community parking although the permit was inside. This place is huge and as students started coming back the unit became really loud pretty much at any time of the day or night. I have called courtesy patrol several times and reported to the leasing office but not much has been done. The unit is outdated and when I offered to upgrade the faucet on my own time and have the materials refunded the only answer I had was "as long as you put the originals back"...So you want me to put back your crappy 30 year-old faucets that are so worn out the handle has to be turned and wobbled to actually work? The most disappointing moment was when our garage was robbed a few weeks ago. More than $7,000 in bicycles and tools have been stolen. And do you know why it happened so easily? Because the grounds are not maintained! The community manager lets unoccupied garages open, and since they are all sharing at least one "wall", the thieves could just pry the wood panels on the garage next door and come in ours like a breeze. The people at the office justified this with sentences like "that's why you have insurance" or "it's not our responsibility to close the garages" or "we told you not to put valuables in the garage, it's only a reserved car spot". So let me ask this question, why is the garage enclosed and with a door??? Then one day, the maintenance crew came in to replace the light bulbs with LEDs and they left our door unlocked!!! We were not home and luckily no one came in to take our things. Can you believe how bad these people are? Finally, today I come home all excited to find my UPS package that was delivered like other times to my door, only to find out it was stolen. This area is so bad they steal your things even before you get them! For God sake! The only thing I wish in this World right now is that I could turn back time and never set foot in this miserable community. I don't feel safe, I can hardly sleep, I count the days I will move out of here.
For the most part this is a great little community with great access to all the major fwys, half hour from the beach ( without traffic) the mountains are close and MOST of the people here a very friendly and laid back, the common areas are kept nice and the staff here at Phillips Ranch are the best, Now there are some things that need work on for instance the use of bbq's and pools and spas, you see there is a lot of trespassing going on here, and not the people you want hanging around, bringing glass into pool areas is a joke, among the other trash they leave about. So I'm not to happy about paying rent for PUBLIC pools, they are meant for the residents and guests only! Same with the BBQ's people just roll up with the food, use the facilities and leave the mess behind. And when a resident wants to cook, he or she is usually out of luck. But overall this is a good place, I have lived here for three years so I've seen what goes on here.
Have had a lot of problems here. Main stove burner was broken for 4 months finally they recently just fixed it after multiple failed attempts. Air conditioner was leaking a toxic fluid for months as well. The parking policy is ridiculous we have had two cars towed from the place. When we went to pick up the cars and pay the 200 each time there was multiple families that had the same situation. For guests you must register your car every night and only get 12 passes per month, pretty ridiculous if you like to have friends over and family. The view is nice of the hills is pretty much the only nature in pomona.
Do not move in here. If you want your car towed broken grills on the property all your appliances to break then this is the place for you. Apartments and common areas poorly maintained and we can not be happier to be out of our lease!!
You will have a lot of problems here. Is that what you want?
