I'm long overdue to making a comment about my exceptional living experience at Waterford Place Apartments in Louisville, KY. I have been a resident at Waterford for several years; that itself should say something especially positive about my experience at Waterford. The apartment community is located in the most beautiful part of St. Mathews, just across the street from Brown Park, probable the best midsize park in Louisville. Besides being a most beautiful complex, you will find these one or two bedroom units to be beautiful and large enough for your personal touch. You will be very pleased with the amenities, including all major appliances within each apartment, beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pools, exercise facilities, and plenty of open space for walking among the pond and lakes within this close-net community. One last item, but a most important item: you will find the personnel, including the office staff, maintenance staff, and grounds keepers to be extremely professional and eager to make your experience as comfortable, safe and positive as can be made. Any issue or concern I have had has always been addressed and immediately attended to by the appropriate professional and competent employee, and always to my complete satisfaction. I am most confident you will be just as delighted as I have been, if you chose Waterford Place as your short term or long term living community.
Waterford is one of the most horrible places I've ever lived and the past nine months here has made me miserable. One of the wonderful things about waterford is most of the apartments have all original appliances windows doors and fixtures in them and haven't been updated since they were built in 1987. These apartments have little to no insulation so expect to pay very high electric bills in the summer and winter. My average bill this winter was $ 250 and thats only in a 2bedroom. All of my appliances which look like the stuff my mom had in her house back in the 90's are so old they are barely functioning but as long as they keep pushing the apartment managers will do anything to save money and continuously have the maintenance team work on appliances that need to be replaced just so they can collect their bonuses at the end of the year. My refrigerator ruins any and all produce within 2 days and leaks rust water. My dishwasher had to be replaced upon moving in because it didn't function at all. The oven barely functions, it either leaves food raw in the middle or it burns everything to death. The washer flooded my kitchen the first week i moved in and had to be worked on and the dryer just burns everything. You don not want to live here!!!!!!!!!! This place has serious flooding issues and they will put you in an apartment that clearly has previous flood damage and pretend like it was an isolated issue but the first night i moved into my apartment my sons whole room flooded and has continued to do so since then and the managers have not helped in solving the situation not one bit. This place is like a pile of dog shit that they wrapped in pretty paper and call it nice but this place is falling apart and the managers are crooks in khakis. My apartment flooded last sunday and tuesday during the storms and here it is 8 days later and the only thing they've done is take out the padding and left my sons room in an unlivable condition for over a week. Ive had enough of this place!
We will be sadly leaving this place soon, but it is a great place to live. Now that we have scouted for over a month trying to find a bigger and cheaper place, we have realized how nice looking and welcoming is Waterford. Somewhat pricy though. The staff here is wonderful as well as the maintenance service. The finishes of the apartment are not like the newest but everything is very well kept. Best thing of all are the lakes, the abundance of trees and the awesome pool area. If you're thinking on moving here, I would definitely recommend coming and taking a look at it. We leave this place with zero complains.
This complex is so nice with regard to the clubhouse, pool, and general appearance. It has so much potential it seems. But our personal experience here was abysmal when I feel like it so easily shouldn't have been. From the very beginning, they were reluctant to correct the numerous problems we, and our parents, found when first inspecting the apartment. In addition, we've had innumerable problems with maintenance since we got here. We've had to call more than 15 times, at least, about our air conditioning since we've been here (1.5 yrs). It doesn't work, and it gets excruciatingly hot in our place. In addition, we had a problem with our dryer making an excruciating noise, and this problem wasn't even recognized for more than a month. At least once they finally acknowledged our problem, it was fixed fairly quickly. But there is an extreme lack of communication here. I never know if they know about or even care about or maintenance problems. I have enjoyed living here overall as my first experience in an apartment, but I truly cannot wait to leave. There should be a higher standard applied to place that looks so nice and is in such a nice area. My girlfriend at Mallard Creek has barely had any problems at all. Maybe you should go there.
