Honestly I wish I could leave no stars! I have lived in MANY communities, and this, by far, was the WORST experience EVER!!!!!!! First, it took us 2 months to receive the lease because the rental Lady was new and slow....that was a bit ridiculous though...then, we were told we would have a washer and dryer...no, just hookups...they claimed we had a newly renovated model (they forgot to mention that it was vacant for a year, and renovated because it had caught on fire --btw it's been 2 fires since I moved here) but the "renovation" left us with not being able to use the bathtub for a week after move in and having to have the doors replaced because they were horrible quality... That's not all... They forgot to mention how everything is on your bill at once, so you end up paying a large amount per month, then you get charged for 2 months utilities after you move out...they took away the drop box...our air conditioner wasn't working from the time we moved in, and took them 2 WEEKS to get it together as we suffered in the dead summer heat with 3 children...they gave us window units but you could only use one at a time....when winter came, guess what happened...the heat went out and they had to repair that!!!!!!! I have no idea who the new management is, I recognize no one anymore, nor did they announce themselves...they're a lot nicer than the previous people, but Hyde Park has left an AWFUL taste in my mouth. I couldn't wait to vacate the premesis! I have never gotten an apology or even a slight piece of care for the hell that I endured while living here...iI haven't even listed everything, but I think it's enough.
This place is absolutely terrible. Management is the worst, they are a bunch of unforgiving Ass holes. Please anyone who reads this STAY AWAY FROM HYDE PARK! they are impossible to get a hold of in the main office, will never return your calls, the maintenance people are unfriendly and will just track mud into your unit even if you ask to remove their shoes. They are quick to jump down your throat about anything that is wrong with your unit. I wish they would bring back the old management that use to run the place, they were the most caring people in the world and made you feel important. AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM HYDE PARK TOWN HOMES IN CHESTER THEY SUCK BIG TIME, WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE LIVING HERE
This was my boyfriend and I's first apartment and it was decent for the year we lived there close until the end. There was a problem where too much moisture was coming from one of the units upstairs and put a hole in our ceiling and we called them (on multiple occasions) and it never got done. So that was one thing. There was also an occasion where I went to get a package (of MINE) and one of the lazy ladies who works in the apartment (MIKA) was sitting in the leasing office on the phone and I missed them by a couple minutes (even though she could open the door), at first I asked her nicely if she'd get my package and she pretty much refused and was rude about it. If you were sitting on your behind having a personal conversation, how hard could it have been to get a package that takes literally a couple seconds to get. So naturally, I was rude back. Anyway, she ended up complaining (on ME) and they banned me even though she was the one being rude. They don't value their residents at all. We all know how rude some people in customer service may be. The price for the size of the apartments (at least the one bedroom) is pretty expensive. Oh, and they charged me for an extra day at move-in and said because that had been done by previous management, it wasn't their problem pretty much. No regard at all. Not to mention the one bedroom I had didn't have a window and stupidly I didn't see the apartment until AFTER I had signed the lease. It made me feel like I was in hell not having any natural sunlight. And then when we moved, I busted my ass for days cleaning up because I was raised to leave other's property as your own, and they had the nerve to send me a bill for 450 on top of the fact that they kept the 625 security deposit saying things were messed up when they weren't. And when I asked for pictures, she said she'd be happy to send them to me and NEVER did. Exactly. I wouldn't recommend this place. When I told her they didn't do a walk-in inspection with me to see some of the issues that were there upon move in, she told me that "The employees are sales agents.." pretty much saying that it's not their job to inform you that a walk-in and a walk-out is YOUR job to request to protect yourself.
Don't move here! Worst mistake I made. I recently moved here from out of the area for a job nearby. I didnt know much about this complex. I was sold on the size and price. After I signed the lease they took me to the townhome that was suppose to have been updated and both the toilets was sealed with a tape saying "Santitized for your convenience" after lefting the toilet seat it was filthy with waste inside and all around the seats and the toilets didnt flush. Looking at the leasing agent that showed me the property, The leasing agent named Mika looked at me and said well at least you got new appliances. WTH?My kitchen sink didnt have any running water, my stove didnt work and my bathroom sink was leaking. She said she would put an order in to have it fixed and told me to enjoy the rest of my evening and left me with nasty toilets that didn't flush, kitchen sink without water and stove that didn't work my first night living in the townhome. I had to go back to my old hometown and stay with someone because i wasn't staying in the townhome. Next morning i left a message on someones voicemail at PRG. A couple hours later than property manager of Hyde Park Susan called and apologized and said she would get maintenance to fix the issues. That took 2 additional days to fix and during that time I had to stay elsewhere until things were fixed. Two and 1/2 weeks later i go to the office to pay my rent and get codes to the laundry room because i put in a request for a washer and dryer the day i moved in and never got it and the property manager said the leasing agent Mika short my move in fee $70 and i needed to have it paid by the end of the month. Then i got a threating letter saying the would pursue legal action if i didnt pay by the 24. Wtf? After the issues i had with the property and not living there until it got fixed these people have the audacity to threathen me over $70??? And dont fall for that comcast discount its only $10 difference. Good luck actually getting that sorry Comcast rep Yvonne Marbury to answer her cell phone. They will not allow you to have satellite even though your neighbors have it. And fios doesnt service this area. Please move to a better community!!!
I had a 1 bedroom that was PERFECT for me. Carpet room to room, minus the kitchen and bathroom. My bills were low and the management was always great and helpful. If given the chance, I would move back.
