If like overpaying for an apartment then Terra Nova is where you want to live. Absolutely terrible customer service (except the main manager). They recently changed owners and the new owners are greedy...I use to consistently have $40 water bills but since the new owner took over, the bill slowly raised in $5 increments each month, my bill is up to $85.
And that 1 thing is, Colleen, a woman who works in the office, is wonderful. she's always so eager to help you, and she's always smileing and polite. However, the other staf isn't so much the same. The other women in the office are always so rude. Our lease is almost up, and we are LEAVING as soon as it's up. It can't come soon enough! So far, we've figured out the top lock to our door doesn't work, the garbage disposal is always broken, they just paint over everything without taking down blinds, or mirrors, scratches on "new" hardwood floors, spiders everywhere, ants everywhere. When I once complained that the ants got so bad that they were in my dogs food bowl and ON HIM, I was told to put the bowl of food in a bowl of water! And to spray the ants with windex! Our storage is always gone through, and no matter how much and how often you do it, IT'S NEVER CLEAN! UGH! And last but not least, the worst of it. Either we've had 2 peeping toms, or it was the same one twice. It's disgusting! DON'T live here!
This place is way to expensive for what you get, we had a rat run through are apt. on the second month of living there and we were on the 2nd floor, I found the hole that he was coming from and seeled it up and set a trap which got him. I told them about it and they were reall not concerned. The second thing I found out was there is a known sex offender living in the complex, the guy is in there for rape of a child basically, you can see for yourself on Megans Law website. After we left they charged me almost 800 for "cleaning" after my wife and I gave it a good scrubdown. BRE properties is basically a giant rip off artist in my book, they are not concerned with quality and resident satisfaction.
