I lived at Camden Gaines Ranch Loop from Oct 2013 - August 2014. It was a decent experience, for the price paid. But then they increased my rent more than 150, which I thought was too high for that area of Austin. When it came to move out, they apparently sent me an invoice for final payment, which I never received. In November 2014, I received a notice from the creditors that I owe Camden. During the 3 months that I did not pay, never once did they reach out to me or send a second notice. I called to complain and the explanation I got was that there are too many people moving in and out, which I find completely unacceptable. It is not hard to run a report and reach out to those that have not paid; every other company I know does this. I definitely dished it out to a few people and they were very accommodating, however, when I discussed it with the person in charge, they proceeded to get on my case on how they don’t do that. There was no attempt to the resolution. I like Camden, but be careful, they are super nice when you move in, and shady when you move out. Not everyone is nice and accommodating and they have a ton of hidden fees.
Camden Gaines Ranch has been my Home for the last 4 1/2 years, and as I have notice they have a lot of long term residence. Due to the fact, it is such a Fabulous place to call Home. Located in the green belt with easy access to down town with hike and bike trails down to the twin Falls.. Huge swimming pool. But most of all the staff is in creditable in wanting to accommodate the residence from the office to maintenance. We've lived here for several months now and the mgmt keeps threatening with fines and never makes any attempt to accommodate our needs (ex: inspections are done on their schedule, etc). The fitness club door has been broken for months and has denied access. And they FORCE us to pay for extras that we do not need and/or are not even receiving. Cable, including HBO is forced through TWC and I cannot receive HBO for some reason. Also, they have a trash pickup service that often misses our house and we are again FORCED TO PAY for it!!! They even recently sent an email threatening us that they'd fine us if our trash was not put in their small container--strange because we can put extra trash beside it, so why does it have to go in the container it will not fit in. BOTTOM LINE: if you like being treated like a number and paying for services that you don't need and/or are NOT EVEN RECEIVING, this is your place!
Solid apartments built to condo specs with the Greenbelt for a backyard. The main office spoils us, we love Gracie and the Tracys (Tracies?). Very pet friendly and safe!
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Correspondence is acknowledged timely. Maintenance issues (few) addressed immediately. Excellent location and the complex sets back from busy traffic so very little traffic noise if any. Adjacent to the Barton Creek Greenbelt Reserve so very convenient for nature walks. Lots of dogs but you really never hear them at all (Units built to condo specs I understand). Additionally, the grounds are regularly canvassed for careless pet owners who don't pick up after their dogs, so really not a problem in that regard (Pet litter stations throughout the grounds with plastic bags). Generally young professional atmosphere overall but some of us Boomers have snuck in :-). No rowdiness experience at all and I have been living there about 14 months. Signed up for another 15 months as well.
