J JH: This is a great place to live. Nearby Shorewood, Whitefush Bay, and Milwaukee. Jane, the resident manager, is very helpful with apartment problems, knowledgeable of her duties and responsibilities. Very responsive to any of your needs while staying here.
Facilities are old. Washing machines are frequently out of order, no replacement for them. Even when maintenance people try to do their best is impossible with equipment so old. At the end you spend time and money. Quiet and well located neighborhood it's a positive.
It's been really nice experience living here. The manager Jane is very helpful and nice to assist us with everything. Around here is mostly residential houses. Beautiful views and quiet area. I would love to recommend to anyone who is interested.
My experience living at East Brook was definitely a positive one. My unit had been recently updated with a brand new kitchen and bathroom and I loved the quaintness of the place. The buildings are not new but they have a charm to them. Truthfully, I hesitated when I went to see the apartment for the first time because a number of years back it did not have the best reputation, but it changed managers a few years ago and they seem to be putting some money into it by renovating units and doing work on landscaping and other stuff. The best part for me though was that they allow larger dogs and welcomed my 75 pound golden retriever. Nice park right across the street with a dog run too.
Terrible. Management is not only extremely rude but unhelpful. The garage is a joke. We were unable to park there for 3 months due to "renovations" (the roof bricks were replaced) and then were told that parking charges were going up due to the fact we were living in a "luxury" apartment. If this is a luxury apartment complex, I'm a monkeys uncle. Problems are fixed by what they consider "important," and they most likely will not find your problem up to their standards. And if they do decide to fix a problem, they send someone to your apartment at 7:30 am with absolutely no notice. At least 3 of the 4 units in our building had called regarding the same 2 issues a minimum of 4 times and it was never addressed. Every time someone called regarding something, Jane would get so frustrated and act like fixing your issue, which is their job, was the most inconvenient thing ever. Not only that, but our security deposit was withheld and we are being charged $500 for "damages". We left the apartment 100 times cleaner and in the same shape as when we moved in, so these damage charges are absolutely ridiculous. I'm guessing that they are trying to charge as much as they can due to the fact that everyone who I talked to that lives there are moving out as soon as they can due to how incredibly terrible the management and apartment complexes are. I am a college student and expect landlords to be rude and take advantage of me, however you would think that a woman who was in her last months of Chemo Therapy would get treated with some sort of respect. Not at East Brooke Village. Here everyone is treated as equals, meaning equally treated like shit. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
