I have lived at the Vue for 6 months, and since they renovated the apartments its really not that bad. The apartment that I live in at the Vue has hardwood floors, dishwasher (brand new), fairly new oven (clean, barely used) and a fairly new fridge (oldest appliance in my kitchen, early 2000s). Its a solid set up for the price, especially in Denver. The bathroom is new as well, but its still quite small in the shower / toilet area. The biggest complaint I have involves the water temperature in the shower--its either freezing cold or boiling hot. I now have the touch, but its so annoying sometimes. My screen door is falling off, but my patio isnt special to begin with. The people working at the leasing office are very nice people, and will help you with lots of things quickly. I have a strong feeling though that the people they work for at Greystar are not the same though, and luckily I haven't had to deal with them. I have seen bugs, but the cockroaches are like a half inch and being from Texas they are absolutely nothing. I have seen 3 in my 6 months of living, so that's not that bad. Its an old building, and in a city you are going to have bugs--even if you are in Colorado. Glendale is actually a nice area, and is definitely safe. There is some pretty solid food, and some bars as well. Overall, for the price of living I give the Vue 3/5 stars. The market price of Denver doesn't help with getting your money's worth, but overall its not a bad place. Its incredibly average. EDIT: Well, this is why I don't do reviews early. I guess I learned my lesson. The cockroaches in my apartment that I mentioned in my review, got much much worse. I kill one at least every day and have been doing so for 3 months. It's winter in Colorado and I have a pretty serious Roach issue. Unacceptable, and they have come in and sprayed but that doesn't do anything because they are in the walls. The nice people in the leasing office I mentioned? Only one remains, and his name is Cory. Great guy, but the replacements for the others have horrible customer service. I told them my heat was not working and the lady asked me "Are you sure? Did you try turning it on" That is insulting and horrible service. It took them one month to fix my heat and luckily it wasnt too cold out during that month. I have dropped my review down to two stars, and I do not suggest living here. I am keeping my previous review because that was my experience at first. I can't wait to move from this place, and Denver as a whole. The rent here is ridiculous and I make decent money. Back to Dallas for me, but I guess that's one less Texan the natives have to deal with.
I currently live here, but at the Edge; personally, I think it's okay, although the maintenance isn't the best and cleaners don't seem to exist. Awhile ago, there was dog poop on the floor and the maintenance staff literally posted a paper up on the wall next to it saying "Clean After Your Dog." Seriously? That stuff was left there for weeks! Every single time a notice is put up in the elevator, profanity is written on the paper and it's torn off the wall within a few days. They had to take down a bit of plastic they used to post messages on because people would *burn* messages on the board. However, management is kind to me and they're always prompt when I arrive to the office to pick up packages for my mother. It's not the best, but it's not the worst either.
Terrible management! Even worse residents! Dishwasher flooded apartment and maintenence didn't show up for 36 hours! Apartments look remodeled but it's just cosmetic! Not to mention meth addicts trying to break in the glass front door on more than one occasion. And let is not forget the SHOOTING IN THE COMPLEX AND THE ARSON COMMITTED IN THERE NEW FACILITY THAT THE A.T.F. HAD TO COME INVESTIGATE! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!
This place is awful.. Let me start with the leasing office. I try to call for hours and no anwser then when i go to leave a message they prompt me to leave one and when i press the prompt it just plays the prompt again. They have been working on fire reconstruction for the past 6 months along with the elevator constantly breaking. oh not to mention, THERE ARE ROACHES HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! they do construction every NIGHT above me. DO NOT LIVE HERE. THE WORST PEOPLE WORK AT THE WORST BUILDING EVER.
The fire at The Edge was never truly cleaned up. I coughed up black stuff for weeks after they said it was clean. Do NOT live here
