I am on my third lease at Strawbridge Green Apartments and the only reason I'm still living here is because I'm working on saving money to buy a house and don't want to move several times before then. There have been 2 or 3 management companies and a ridiculous amount of staffing turnover. It's like nobody can stand to work a this property. The one good person that you had working there quit for a better job offer and I don't blame her. The girl in the office now does not relay maintenance orders to the maintenance staff and I have had to track them down on the property to check and see if they can fix the issues I'm having. I have 3 children and didn't have lights in our stairwell for over 2 weeks because "they can't reach the fixture and need to install a new one." BUT, there was already a fixture in the place she said they needed to install one and she just FAILED to tell them it was out. When they arrived to fix my toilet, I asked if they knew about the light and they said she never told them. My next problem was, my toilet was still making a weird noise and I called to have her send the guys back over...which she failed to do. I was dropping off my April rent a few weeks ago and caught Josh in the office and asked him if he could, once again, stop by because the toilet was still messed up. He gladly came by and fixed it. Lastly, I stopped in the office Wednesday (03/25/15) and requested additional apartment keys for 2 of my children. I was told that maintenance works until 5 and, because it was 5:40, they would have to make them Thursday and she'd let them know. Well, surprise, I got there again at 5:40 and the door was locked. Friday (03/27/2015) morning I saw Josh out on the property and he stopped and asked how everything was working in my apartment now. I told him things were much better and asked if she told him I needed more keys...guess what?! He had no idea. He agreed to personally go to the office right then, make me keys, and hand-deliver them to my husband when he gets home at 4:30. So, to summarize my opinions of Strawbridge Green, the maintenance guys are awesome, the apartments are over-priced for the old environment and could use updating, and the OFFICE STAFF HAS TOO MUCH TURNOVER AND CARELESS PEOPLE WHO DON'T DESERVE TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC. I don't know what the company was thinking putting this girl in the office when she can't relay a simple message or two..."Hey, a light's out" or "Hey, please make 2 keys for this resident that will be by to pick them up later." Step your game up, Strawbridge. Something I've noticed in the last few weeks are groups of teenagers lingering around and walking up by residents' cars and looking in. I don't keep anything in my car that they would want, but it's the idea that these kids are looking as if they're ready to steal something of value. I've already seen a vehicle broken into twice in the last month. Also, I was told yesterday that a teenage boy is running around the property bragging that he's got a gun and showing it off to people. WHAT KIND OF PARENT IS LETTING THEIR CHILD RUN AROUND WITH A GUN? Another teen was outside beating up his mother (who only hit back to defend herself while yelling for help). This is pathetic. I've seen our COURTESY OFFICER on the property once in the last few months...which, the title "courtesy officer" is exactly correct. He's there as a courtesy to flirt with some of the residents at the front of the property and not actually serve any other purpose. I'd do a better job of keeping that place under control with my military backround than he does with his security training. To summarize everything, Strawbridge Green is a joke and I wouldn't suggest moving here.
