Everyone at AMLI has been incredibly helpful and accommodating. The staff is SO nice and friendly. I've been here for 2 monthly get togethers with other residents that the office hosts and both have been a lot of fun. The maintenance crew has been unbelievably helpful. I feel like the office really cares about our needs as residents and offers to do whatever they can to make moving in that much easier. They also actually take an interest in your well being. They don't just say hi. They mention you by name and ask how your dog is after they mention it by name as well. Along with the office staff the property seems really well kept. The trees along McKinney are a little dig up right now but sure they'll look great when finished. We've utilized the fitness center a ton and have seen the racquetball and basketball courts getting a fair amount of use as well. I'm excited to try the sauna next! Overall, this has been an amazing move for us. We are happy with our space and location. It's walking distance from so many restaurants and bars. The only thing we changed was the paint and even then the office gave us a great contact who was very reasonably priced. **I will say make sure you ask about pricing for painting because your unit will not look like the model. The model is painted VERY nicely whereas the units are painted a "neutral" paint. It's all the same light tan (yellowish) paint throughout and matched the carpet too much. It's all the same shade so we are definitely painting. Also, the only model they have is for a certain floor plan, so make sure you see a unit that matches your layout. Also, make sure you get an apartment on the west side or towards the middle. I have a unit facing McKinney the construction across the street is unbelievable loud. It started a month after we moved in** Bottom line, I feel like our complex office has the type of people that are perfect for this industry. They are fun, passionate, friendly, supportive, patient, and honest. They make living here very easy. We feel really lucky to live here.
First of all... Re-think LUXURY apartment! The only LUXURY is the rent! EXTREMELY high-priced for what you are getting which is basically very old appliances, very old carpet, and very old linoleum tiles. We moved in to our place in October and can't wait to move out! You can hear every movement of the tenants above you, people let their dogs off the leash in the courtyard and apparently do not know that having a pet means YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY PICK UP AFTER IT!! Oh yeah... and let's talk about the people walking and driving into the "secure" garage after a car enters, and the recent break-ins to the cars in the same "secure" garage. I also have to say we have experienced the very same issues "Elizabeth" mentioned with maintenace coming into the apartment. We had made a service call for our unit and have to say we were very shocked when John from maintenance walked right in to the unit after having knocked just once and turning the key. How safe do you think that makes you feel? As far as we are concerned, this whole place needs a little wake-up call from the Home Office!!
When there were 15 tornadoes demolishing Dallas area and hail pelting down on us, AMLI refused to let residents in the underground parking garage because they were "cleaning" it. Sirens were blaring and residents asked permission to move their cars under the building and were refused. I rented here because of the garage and at a time when I really needed it, AMLI made it useless. I called hq to talk to someone about this, and I got an automated message and was never called back. Moving as soon as I can find another apartment.
I recently moved to the community and signed a short lease. Mark and Angela are great and a pleasure to deal with. One negative has been noise in the hallways (lots of high heels). Overall, I have had a great experience and would highly recommend it. It is close to some great restaurants and Katy Trail.
